Airstream sightings
My suspicions are that if one follows the Airstream recommendations in installing a bike rack and does not allow anything to hang below the bumper a bike rack is fine.

There are many threads on the subjects of quality and bumpers. This is not one of them so back to the subject at hand. Yesterday I spotted near my house a 1963 Safari 22 foot for sale. Asking price $11k. Phone 228-861-3645. I do not know the owners so have no additional details. Returning from Fallaluminum on south 85 while going my normal 60 mph I was passed by a 34 being pulled by a truck with Texas plates.
Also on Georgia 511 spotted a junk yard with a half dozen vintage Airstreams and kin.

Spotted three today.
Two near the GA / FL state lines, the first going south the second going north, both on I-95.
The third, on I-4 traveling east of Orlando.

Spotted 3 also. One just south of Birmingham on I65. Looked like a big Ford pulling. And then later saw 2 more heading north on I65. By then I was too tired to pay much attention. It was a long day going to Birmingham to bring home the new TV. :-)

Two here at Salt Springs Recreation Area besides myself. A smaller older 57-60's model and a late 70's to mid 80's Safari about 25ft pulled by a red truck.

Saw another one at Worlds of Fun RV park. WBCCI # 22161. Come here for the last weekend for the park closes for the winter. Will be open sometime in March.

Saw an Airstream this morning at about 7:20 am. Looked to be about a 25 ft. And was on Hwy 501 in Conway , SC on their way out of Myrtle Beach.

On our way home from camping at Platte River in Sleeping Bear Dunes, saw a 2004 30' Classic for sale in Empire, Michigan (little teeny town on Leelanau peninsula), a very cool Argosy at Traverse City State Park, and a 22-23 foot from 70s or 80s in a back yard right in town - never noticed it before!

Traveling from Jacksonville to Melbourne yesterday on I-95 we were passed by a 19(?) headed south around Daytona, i think. It had WBCCI numbers on an acrylic sheet on the rear but couldn't read them. At the Flying J near St. Augustine a 28 or 30 pulled in while we were fueling up. No numbers visible. Drove around 1500 miles since 9/25. No reports of sighting us, and no other airstreams sighted on the highway until the last day and the last 70 miles when we saw two within about an hour.

Not an Airstream, but vintage kin- I saw an old Avion (60's or 70's) on I-55 southbound between Courtland and Sardis. Once we got to the campground, I saw a 2006 International 25' in the storage lot. Last time we were here there were 2 other Airstreams at E Z Daze. There were also 2 at Jellystone around the corner on Hwy. 51.

Last night walking in downtown Napa CA, saw three (!) Airstreams parked on someone's property. What a sight to see. One looked like from the 50's, another looked like it was being used for a food truck, and the other one a newer Bambi. Others on this forum have probably reported seeing these...

Northbound on I-45
Spotted older blue striper (a 30 foot maybe) headed north on I-45 just south of Corsicana, TX yesterday shortly before noon towed by what I think was a blue ford heavy duty double cab.... gave them the headlight salute, although because I myself wasn't with any aluminum behind the Tundra, they may have mistaken it for a speed trap warning.... I waved anyway.

Spotted an Excella headed toward Flagstaff (southbound on 89) in some horrendous winds. Also spotted one headed north from Tuba City. Fun day with the winds. The Airstream really does handle winds well. Saw a guy with a humongous fifth wheel pulling in this evening and he said it was easily the worst day of driving he had ever had....
forgot to mention that I woke up a few mornings ago with a 1967 International Safari next to me. The driver was from Hurricane, UT. He had made some modifications such as removing the AC, but it was pretty original inside...
