Big Day for Airstream Sightings
Spotted this one (see pic) on west bound I-80, just east of Colfax, CA, about 10:00 AM yesterday. He was sporting Michigan plates and towing behind a Dodge Dakota. Then, not less thatn 5 minutes later, a new AS passed in the opposite direction.
That evening, about 7:00 PM, spotted another vintage AS on Southbound I-680, near Benecia, CA. Finally, another one on I-80, westbound, near Auburn, CA.
Lots of folks out camping.

We had a mini rally
Last weekend we had a mini rally while I was camping. That's our AS in the foreground and a 25' 2005 in the background. They just happened to get a spot behind us at the beach. The owner came over and checked ours out because his wife had been talking about getting a longer AS.

Airstream Towing Airstream
We pulled into a campground in Clinton, Mississippi (just west of Jackson) earlier this evening and are in a campsite next to another Airstream. This unit appears to be a very late model 30 footer, and the tow vehicle is an Airstream Classa B. This pair has Texas tags.

We saw 40 airstreams this past weekend at the Spirit of Cleveland rally in downtown Cleveland. The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all!

Saw 5 headed west on 90 west of Cleveland on Sunday. Almost caught up to one near Pa/Ny border headed east on 90 that may have been towed by a truck with truck camper. We had to turn off before catching up to it.

I saw an Excella model, 75-80ish on route 81 they were going west, I was eastbound. Just east of Harrisburg Pa. MPJ

We found the owners if the airstream we spotted outside our neighborhood in Marietta on Saturday! They were camping the same place we were, seven hours south on st George Island in Florida! what are the chances?! Very nice couple, Chuck and Linda.

Last week on I-25 and I-90 between Billings, MT and Denver, saw two airstreams. Newer models. Saw one 70's excella in Billings. Those are on the road. Saw about 5 more parked in various places. Including one in Southfork Coloraod behind a bbq shack

I saw this one rolling down 70 west bound outside of St. Louis today. I think it was a Minnesota plate. I the guy a big thumbs up and I think it took him a second to figure out I wasn't road raging him.

I am staying in Saratoga, WY en route to Steamboat as part of the BTC (Bike Tour Colorado). Saw two airstreams in the deer haven rev campground today. A Bambi and an Excella. If you are in Saratoga, give a shout out!

Mike, The ingenuity of Airstream owners never ceases to amaze me. That almost looks “factory”. It would be nice to know more details of this unit.

Wow! That's the exact same unit! I can tell from the cabinetry. They did a nice job on the inside and out - if you like that style, but it's not my cup of tea..

Was there access from the cab into the "trailer"?
There could have been, but it was blocked by a couch. They showed me the inside, but I didn't want to intrude and take pictures, since they were in the middle of camping, if you know what I mean.
