We saw a one day record of 5 on our trip home from the dogwoods in KY rally yesterday. We were travelling south on I-75 and most of them were travelling north (between 10 am and 2 pm). One was around Berea, KY. The next around Renfro Valley, KY. The next pulled out of the Sonny's BBQ driveway just north of Corbin, KY. The next came around Williamsburg, KY. The next was just inside the TN line. The last was around Knoxville, TN. I saw Excella on two of them but it was rainy and we were going opposite directions so I didn't get any more sighting info than that. It definitely was exciting to see so many on the road.

Saw a mid 90's 30' Classic Limited on the way home this weekend from taking our '87 to her summer resting spot at Penn Wood Airstream Park. The trailer had Wally numbers (6715), but when I got home I could not find them in the 2009 membership directory. We were all traveling east on I-78

We saw a beauty in a subdivision of Waterdown, Ontario (segwun road) (about 40 minutes east of Toronto), sitting in a driveway. Probably 1975 or so, 25'. The exterior has been polished nicely, and all the windows were refurbished or replaced.

It delayed us visiting my Dad for several minutes.

door dings

Ref. JIMMINI storage....
When you store like that do you have to worry about door dings?

I was on I90/94 just north of Madison, WI this evening and spotted a 1967ish , probably a Overlander with Michigan tags...

Wally was out in force yesterday.

I saw a three rig caravan heading west on I-70 just west of St. Louis.

I also saw a single unit heading southwest on 370 in St. Louis.

Wonder if there is an "EVENT" happening.

Steve

No there is room for doors to open with out hitting the other trailer if you park right. Each parking spot is 12+ ft wide.

Met a really nice guy from Nashville Sunday at a rest area on I-85 with a 22ft late model International behind a Toyota Tundra. Was on his way home from Gulf State Park, AL.

We saw about a billion AS's this weekend on our trip back from Road Atlanta to Kentucky, starting with a 345 moho, a 20' Argosy moho, a small older trailer, and a newer Bambi actually at the track! Record! Especially for mohos! We talked with the moho owners and did our best to turn them on to the Forums.

On the way home we saw several, from a nice newer trailer pulled by a black van with an expanded roof (at a Starbucks just off I-75 in Tennessee), to a nice triple-axle from Alaska pulled by a silver Ford pickup headed north on I-75 about 10 miles inside the south Kentucky border (we let him in as we were passing the scene of a rollover wreck of a custom van towing a Puma camper -- it looked like someone may have gone across the highway and forced him off the road or hit him and knocked him off the road). We also saw several headed south in the rain (maybe going home from the Rend Lake rally?).

A great weekend for Airstreams!

Susan

Nice late model 34-footer behind a Dodge dually west bound on I-20 in Columbia today. Didn't see any numbers on it.

We spotted this Safari, east bound on the Ohio Turnpike near the Lordstown exit on Monday. It is in nice shape and probably on new axles. We're thinking '63 (7 panel end crown, door in door). Dealer Plate.
