80-90 in Ohio, last Friday afternoon west of Toledo.
A nice mid 70's 25-28 footer or so, pulled by a blue newer Dodge pickup.

I drove next to this happy-looking couple for a little while, but can't remember any further details because I was already zoned out from driving through Indiana for the past several hours!

Holy Cow, what a freak! The fabrication seems laudable but I wonder why it's so long? Perhaps there will be storage on that flat section in front of the original tongue. This is actually one of the less destructive extreme conversions that we've seen I think. Can you make contact? I would love to see an "after" picture.

Thanks for posting this,

Steve

Steve
The guy doing the welding told me the extra length is for motorcycles.

I drive by this place at least once per month. We will keep an eye on the progress.

All These And More In One Place!

I just had my '87 out to P & S Trailer Services in Ohio and this is just a sampling of the trailers they have on their property. Some are for sale, some are awaiting restoration, and some are customer projects awaiting shop time. I lost count at around 30 Airstreams, some places they are parked 3 and four deep!!!.

Look at all those cuties, thanks for the snapshots Deitz!

Feels great to see such a nice bunch in good shape, after the last 90 pages of this post showing many sad, forlorn trailers.

Bredlo,
I was drooling the whole time I was there. I wanted to take them ALL home with me , but alas that economic stimulus check only goes so far. They have an old Bambi and Bambi II that are REALLY nicely restored that are for sale. I am trying to talk my wife into letting me purchase one "for the daughter and son-in-law" . But I don't think my scheme is working on her.

Dutch Harbor, Alaska

So I was walking around Dutch Harbor and came across this airstream. it appears that someone is still living in it. It's an island, so at some point it was shipped out there. Note the strap over the top to anchor it down. The container box to the right is also converted into a house or shop or somthing.

The winds are so ferocious there that it may need a strap to keep it from blowing away....and yes, it probably was shipped there.....no easy thing to do.....good catch...and what takes you to Dutch Harbor?..pj

My father-in-law knows better than to try that excuse. I'd be hitched up and rolling away with it before he even had a chance to look inside. He'd just be standing there in a cloud of diesel smoke with a confused look on his face!

A boat. I'm in the Coast Guard, and we get to do a lot of travel to unique places.

New Mexico Airstreams

Traveling along Interstate 25 through New Mexico from Las Vegas, NM to Albuquerque, NM you will see many older AS's parked among the Junipers. Probably more sightings of parked older AS than other areas I have travelled. For someone wanting a dry climate AS to restore, I would give New Mexico a look while traveling through. The majority are the bright aluminum with non-tinted window models... if that helps any.

We were Southbound on I-81 (MM 133 - Pennsylvania) yesterday at about 11:00 AM when we spotted two aircraft carriers (34's) headed North in tandem. I flashed them, but I guess our 25 is so small that they didn't even notice us. I believe one of the red numbers was 7105, but we're not sure about that. Safe travels to whomever.

We arrived at the Fishing Bridge campground in Yellowstone Friday and noticed a 95 Classic in the B section behind us. Nice 30' Excella 1000. We were going to say hello to them, but never saw them as they were gone the next day. If they are a member of the forum, "Hello".
