Almost always sunny here unless there is a hurricane bearing down on you. And then it's time to hook up the burb and roll. So far I've been very lucky.

My wife spotted 2 airstreams, one fairly new, the other mid 90's, on I-65 heading North around 2:00pm this afternoon. They were heading through Bowling Green, KY with Ohio plates. Probably snow birds coming out of Florida, no red or blue numbers. She called me at work, like I'm not already anxious enough to get camping.

Spotted a '60s vintage beauty heading west on I-20 through Columbia around 1:30 today. Didn't get a good look at the tow vehicle.

South on 101

Saw 3 Airstreams heading south on 101 in California today while I was heading North. One was around Gaviota Pass near Santa Barbara, one was near Los Alamos (flashing lights at me and waving!) and one was near Santa Maria.

Sighting in Venice, Ca this morning

On my way to the gym, I had to stop and check out this Airstream parked on a street in Venice. It has Sky Box Makeup painted on the outside. Here is their link: Skybox - Makeup Trailer of the Stars! - los angeles creative services - backpage.com

Sure was an early morning eye opener...........paula

And I worry about being able to park our Ambassador near our house.....it was on Dell north of North Venice Blvd.....not sure how they found that much room to park the TV and trailer. Sure woke me up, though, paula

Seen several heading down I-20 over the last several days. Warm weather apparently causes aluminitis to flair up somethin' fierce!

Cool pics, Todd... even cooler drums - nice finishes and hardware. BTW, what hardware do you use for lugs, rim mounts, stands, etc.? (not to hijack a thread or anything )...

Sightings in Southern Ontario

I saw these two trailer while on a recent trip in Ontario. Neither is an Airstream, but sight-worthy all the same!
-One is a Vakashunette. It appeared to be recently buffed on top and freshly painted with red, white, and blue on the bottom. It was gutted on the inside. It looked like it was being restored. It was really interesting.
-The other is a Steamline, and it was for sale as of March 2009 (located near Hamilton, Ontario). The phone number in the window of the Streamline said 905-380-2826. I couldn't see in the windows (Yup...I tried!)

Finally a sighting!

Hello threadies,

Was out and about on the tandem with my daughter and not three blocks away from my house I whispered, "Is that an Airstream?!?"

Saw this on the street and was taking cell phone pictures when the neat owner opens the window to chat...worried that I had a problem with it being parked there, which doesn't surprise me in this town. He had just gotten it from an RV park and had gotten on the forums that very day.

I told him about this thread that I started when my daughter, now 10, was just a little one, and now he's a proud sightee! Welcome!

She looks so much cleaner in that photo! Can't wait to really get started with repairs. Noticed last night that the door hinges are eally worn down and have hairline fractures. Anyway, that's not what this thread is about....what a cool trailer!
Thanks Pinkflamingoes!!!!

Smile Spotted in Nevada

We saw this rig sitting in the parking lot of the Riverside Casino in Laughlin NV last week.... the trailer is in major need of attention, as the inside is in shambles. There was a motorcycle inside the bus, and both trailer and bus had California plates.

Whoever those folks are, they have no business gambling when every available dollar will be needed for the shell-off restoration in their future!
