I think we spotted our own Airstream online!

In the process of booking a spot in August at the Moab Valley RV Park near the Arches National Park, and happened to scroll to the bottom of their RV sites page to see this:

That's about where we were last summer... could be!

This may be slightly off topic but...

During our maiden voyage to Lake Whitney, TX a few weeks ago - we came to an intersection on the Farm to Market road nearby and there was another A/S headed out.

They waved. And we were stoked.

We've had Jeeps for a long time and among that crew; there's the 'Jeep wave' and an unspoken respect. Had no idea the A/S community was just as great!

Best to all!

Roosevelt

We pulled into our spot in Roosevelt State Park, Morton MS last Friday evening only to see a new mid-upper 20' AS leaving. They, then we, were the only AS's in the full campground.

Welcome to the forums. With Airstreams the unofficial greeting on the road is two flashes of the headlights and a wave...if you see each other in time. My problem is that all of our trips are via interstate and I usually don't see the on coming Airstreams until I don't have enough time to react with the headlights. But I still get excited when I see a fellow 'streamer!

motorhomes get ignored

In 3 years traveling around we have seen many, many oncoming trailers and not ONE has acknowledged that we are an airstream too. People just seem to be looking straight ahead.........even when we have AS trailers following us. Its no fun gettin igg'd.

I even "blink" at the Sprinter-based units, and B190's...I obviously haven't passed you yet...

we are on the opposite coast

but it is still truly amazing that folks don't see and realize an airstream shape, it is all years------both new and vintage trailers that just don't see us. We also saw on the opposite side of the 15 freeway an
AS moho towing an AS trailer and they did not see us either!!!

Some folks just can's see us at all. How do you explain our being broadsided in the rear one third of the trailer ??????

We live in a very small rural community. It is very unusual, but we have 3 Airstreams within a 3-4 mile area! I think ours is probably the oldest, 1975 27' Overlander, one looks 1980 something, and the one inbetween is closer to a 1990... We do have a fair amount of the "other" campers around, I would think around 30 in that same area. The Airstreams always catch your eye though. The last two times we camped, the neighbors had to come in to see our baby! We love to show it off.
