Passed two vintage AS going down the Turner Turnpike (Interstate 44) in Oklahoma, yesterday in a horrible sleet storm. didn't envy them. It was hard enough getting my Tundra from Oklahoma City, to Chandler.

U know strange as it sounds I saw one(AS) on the National Geographic Channel over the weekend. Ceasar Millan THE DOG WISHPERER has an Airstream that looks to be in the 60's tandem axle about 27ft, converted to a Vertiual Reality Theater for Dogs. It has a treadmill and is wired for sound and lites to resemble thunder and lighting storms. Kinda neat. Waste of a good vintage Airstream but to each his own.

If an Airstream is being used in the aid of our canine friends, I have no objection to it.

Spot me if you can.

Here's a twist on the thread.

On 12-27 we'll be leaving Northern L.A. County and heading to Slab City. Then to Tucson and back home on the 1st.

We'll be in a Silver F250 with a 25 FB in tow.

Can you spot us?

North 395

December 26th -- We passed a newer Bambi (?) headed North on California 395, just outside Olancha. We were headed South into the wind storm (and closed highway) and shuddered at the thought of coming through that with silver in tow!

Double ditto. I can think of no higher use for a conversion if not for its original intended use.

I like The Dog Whisperer's show...watched an episode last night and the night before in fact.

We were at Ft. Wilderness Campground at Walt Disney World leading up to Christmas and saw 6 Airstreams including one in our loop. I didn't have a chance to meet the owner of the one in our loop before he left on Saturday, but IIRC, his WBCCI number was 94244. Was that anyone on the forums?

Middle aged dyslexia could be kicking in here, I could have the numbers out of order. I'll have to check with the Missus. It could have been 29444 or 49444. I just remember there was a lot of 4's!

We had a buff cocker spaniel for a little less than 3 months shy of 15 years when we had to have him put down because of kidney failure due to diabetes (I had given him insulin injections 2x/day for 4-1/2 years). He was MY dog and had very submissive "personality". Three months after he was put down, my wife insisted on getting another cocker just like him. This one was supposed to be her dog as far as I was concerned. Well, he turned out to be the opposite in temperament...very dominant and very stubborn. We began watching Caesar Milan to learn how to be dog owners all over again. Everything he said that applied to our "Sulley" was spot on. Only, it turns out Sulley adopted me as the pack leader and as his person. He is now My dog despite my early efforts for him to be my wife's dog. Oh well, Cesar's methods do work if you follow the reasoning behind them and dog's do have minds of their own.
