Oh my word, this thing was so cute.... we met it on US27 (it was northbound). Windows all down the side, Bus Style.
It had stickers all over it, went so fast I could not tell if the stickers were automotive or otherwise. This may seem strange but, It made me think of an Ice Cream Truck. Sorry no pic. Will chase it down if I see it again.
CT
Try again, pic did not come? Saw this yesterday in Runmney NH, Rt 25

saw one in my hometown today, an 84 MH, owners are ready to go fulltime!! I pulled over and said hello, Airstreams always come with nice people. They said they'd only had her on the street for one hour since getting her from storage and I was the first person to stop. I'm curious how many others will stop and comment!

There's a big beautiful old Excella that's often parked on a hill in Highland Park, Illinois - just near the border with Deerfield, on Deerfield Road. It's always very clean, and the door seems to always be open. It's a beaut!
We took a drive up to Portola, CA and saw a big one on a hill in the city of Portola, and also one in a trailer park in the town of Maybe. Yes, Maybe. It was permanently parked with an aluminum skirt...We went by too quickly to take a picture. What a beauty!
We may go back next week, I'll take a picture!

In Lynnwood, WA - I drove by it a couple of times before stopping to check it out. The skin looks pretty straight, needs a new axle, and I couldn't get a very good look inside it. The sign said $2500 OBO - PM me if you want the phone number or if you want me to go check it out further.
I am new to AS community. It seems like, now, I see them everwhere. These two are in a field I have driven buy for years and never noticed. They sit about 50 yards apart. No idea who owns them. I-30 at the Alexander exit in Little Rock AR. You could stand in the middle of the Interstate and hit them with a rock.

And bought it! This is the newest member of the family (the Safari wanted a sibling!)
Very cool! DO you feel all tingly now with another project looming? You did such a great job on the safari - can't wait to see this one.
By the way.... are you going to be camping "His 'n hers" style from now on? Who gets the little one?
I'm all giddy! We won't bring it home until tomorrow, so we're just brainstorming right now. Ultimately, this trailer will probably belong to our friend & neighbor Kris - he has expressed an interest in Airstreams but wasn't quite ready to buy today. We had no qualms about scooping it up, though!
Just when I thought we would start working on the house again - oh well!
I saw this 65' Trade Wind at a local RV dealer. Asking price is $4995.00 if anyone is interested. I looked in it and it is original. It has the owners manual and the plastic tubs in the cabinets. If someone would like I'll take some pictures for you. Gary
