Looks like something out of that old Woody Allen movie!

I saw an Airstream today...

While driving home from work tonight around 6 pm, I was passed on 495N in MA by a silver Ford F350 extended cab truck with Maine plates pulling a newer, what looked like a 25' Safari Airstream trailer. The trailer didn't have any numbers on it, nor did it have any trailer license plates! They were traveling fast (>80 mph) and the traffic was heavy so I never caught up with them.

I hope everything was ok!?

Probably a transporter deilvering another new unit. Normally they use "Transport" plates, but as long as they have all the paperwork for the unit with them, all is good.

Airstream Sighting

Yesterday afternoon at about 5:00pm central time I had the chance to see what looked like a 25-28 Safari being pulled by a GMC pickup. They were stopped in traffic Eastbound on interstate route 24 just a little Southeast of Nashville, Tn. Just a note to all…Eastbound traffic on 24 in Nashville during rush hour is a real bummer! Couple that with some very aggressive drivers and the trip can be a horrendous experience! So…Please…try to avoid this area .

I-20 Mississippi

Yesterday I spotted a 30+-footer on the westbound shoulder of I-20 in western MS, near Edwards. I was in the wrong lane to make the next exit or I would of spun around to see if all was ok.

Three old Airstreams showed up at a local park and sell. I posted the pictures in the photo pile. One I think is a seventies, maybe 28ish feet? Sound rig and rather nice. Probably off the road for a while, but not in disrepair.
Second is a Globtrotter...sixties vintage I think? I would add the interior is um...challenging.
Third is mid twenty feet and looked like it was a work in progress. Wood floor, some overly heavy plywood rebuild..but boy does it leak. Pictures came out good considering they were taken through the windows.

Last week or so I saw a nice unit headed south on I-530 through Pine Bluff, Ark. The TV appeared to be a smaller pickup with a red canoe on top. I got onto the highway and he was behind me going slowly, so I didn't get any details.

Today we saw a smaller white Argosy motor home with a dark blue stripe (it was pretty!) turning from I-30 to I-40 going east in Little Rock. Anyone on the list?

Happy Memorial Day holiday!

Cool And on TV.....

Saw an ad this week on TV for a new summer drama series about getting New Orleans back into shape. The show is called "Killville" and from what I have figured out it's about friends who have decided to join the police force in their hometown of New Orleans. One of the characters evidently lives in an Airstream, because they show him outside of it several times.

Well, since I am now the PASSENGER in the car I got to see my trailer reflecting in the windows of a large windowed building as we towed past on Thursday evening. I must say that I felt pretty goshed darned good about how the two looked together . Unfortunately we did not see any other Airstreams on the road going to, camping at, or returning home that I could hang out the window and wave at. Yes, I feel a tad useless sitting over on the wrong side of the car but what the heck, this is life....

Spotted 2 today

The first on is sitting in an Storage lot in Clinton Tn. The tags were last registered in 95. I am going to call the storage company tomorrow and see if they will contact the owner. Looked pretty good from the exterior. One tire was missing. The second one, an Excella, we actually passed on Interstate 40 heading west, we were headed east. We got off at the next exit to go to the RV store and lo and behold, here it came off the exit and pulled into Lowes across the street. I went over to talk to them but my husband didnt want me to hang around, he said they would think I was crazy! It has Knoxville tags, is it anyone here?

Let's see, on our way to southern IL to go kayaking on Friday (25th) of this past weekend, we saw an Airstream (trailer) in Tuscola, IL. I am not yet good at identifying models/years on the fly! :^)

Today I saw a huge Airstream TT going west on I-74 near Le Roy, IL. Four square windows grouped together toward the front, red design on the side -- no idea what I was looking at, but I was screaming "Airstream!"
