Cinco de Mayo!

I am at the car wash getting a few pounds of dirt removed from my TV and what do I see pull in, a Dos Equis decorated black burb pulling a Dos Equis Airstream Trailer. It an 06 or 07 19' Bambi with Dos Equis stickers all over it. The man who brought it to the car wash is a driver hired to drive the burb and trailer from bar to bar as part of a Cinco de Mayo thing. He travels to the bars with 3 models that are on tour also. The models were not at the car wash. The tour ends tomorrow night and the trailer goes back to Wisconsin. I wonder where I can sign up for this job next year?

Last night on FOX News - the post Paris Hilton trial interviews was a series of video of her and Mom(?) at an event while the talking heads rambled on showing her in front of a newer Airstream posing for the cameras. Don't know the celebrity event for the photo shoot but the Airstream looked great. Must be the new Hollywood backdrop to have an Airstream there.

As I was on my way to an event in Sheridan, Arkansas yesterday. I saw an Argosy (not sure what size) on the side of the road by a used car lot. It was being towed by (I think) a four-door Toyota pickup.

Ooops--forgot to say it was just a little north of the 270/167 intersection in Sheridan.

Dad is getting aluminitis...he spotted this one north of Hwy 24 and snapped a picture. It looks like a 60's model, pretty good shape.

Long weekend drive

Spotted what looked like a thirty footer being towed by a pickup with a yellow canoe on a lumber rack. It was on I 40 just west of Kelbaker road going East on Saturday just after noon.

Saw a bunch parked all along Route 66 between Barstow and Victorville.

I was on I-39 in Illinois today. I saw 2 of these heading towards Wisconson. I'm glad I saw your post because I wondered what they were for.

A few days ago, wife and I were on I-70 heading east. We saw an A/S heading west towards St. Louis. It had several vista-view windows on the road-side front part of the trailer. They were running from the floor to the roof. Also, no rear-window.

We only got a few seconds to view it as we were going opposite ways.

Anyone know what it was?

We saw "Belize"

Just as we were heading down the road towards Casini Ranch, we weren't 20 miles from home we saw the Airstream Belize pass us... well, we stopped and said hi at the next Rest Stop! Here is a pic of us in our little Bambi and "Belize"...

My buddy was just down in Palm Springs for a month and during that time they ventured around various hotrod and other automotive shops to fill in some blank time. They were are the Shelby Facility where they build the new Ford Shelby Mustangs and the picture of their inventory of cars in the compound includes an Airstream. They would not allow pictures taken inside where the production happens, but I thought it was interesting that they happen to have one of America's best in their yard.

Nice One

Spotted a late 50's or early 60's with a great shine job today on I-10 in Mississippi going west bound pulled by a full size van (Ford or Chevy) light tan in color. Had the high number end panels (I don't know the count) with a single axle - maybe a FC. Looked real nice. We spotted you at the Kiln exit as we got on I-10 going east. Where you going?

Airstream Creation?

A friend in England sent me a link to this today.

Raising awareness around the UK. Someone has undertaken a mission to try to end the sperm crisis in an Airstream. Out for the count...BBC NEWS | Magazine | Out for the count
