Saw what looked like a later model 25 footer with a red pickup heading north on Oakwood Road in Huntington Station, NY on Sunday afternoon - surprised to see it and couldn't get my phone out in time to take a picture

Bambi in Vero Beach

Saw this Bambi from Indiana near home in Vero Beach, FL today. Had a chance to say "hi" through open windows at a stop light. Sounds like he's a traveler since he said he'd been to Yosemite and was heading to the Florida Keys but the trailer is clearly quite new.

Left Horsethief Lake campground this morning, and on the way into Keystone, saw an Excella going up to Mt Rushmore, sporting WBCCI 15547, then tonight, south of Wall, SD on BLM land, this good neighbor.....

I have been passing this one in Gravenhurst Ontario off and on for a couple of years. It's been up on jack stands and/or blocks but doesn't look like it needs much for camping. Picture taken yesterday.

Then today at 11h45 I was coming home from Orillia on the highway #12 bypass when I spotted this nice AS and TV.

Airstream sightings

As we travelled through Badlands National Park today, spotted an Airstream Flying Cloud, 25' at the visitor center/lodge complex. On I 90 as we headed east in South Dakota, saw two under their own tow vehicle power, another with AS and tow on a flatbed, and three new ones on a flatbed (a single axle, a double axle, and a Basecamp), all headed west. Staying overnight at Cabellas in Mitchell, SD, and another AS is here. Walked to the nearby Wal Mart for ice as the fridge is acting up, and another is overnighting there. Nine in one day, best for a non-rally sighting.

And an honorable mention of spotting a Silver Streak in the area.

Watching the news yesterday and there was a piece about RV street parking in Palo Alto. There were a couple of AS coaches in the mix. Local ordinance requires moving a half mile away every 2-3 days. Seems leap frog is the game of choice and you just have to prove you drove a half mile away in the process. What an interesting way to dry camp. Pat

I started a new topic in the AS News forum, but it will not be posted until approved by a moderator:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f224/

plus a link to a Palo Alto news article.

. . . in order to keep this Airstream Sightings thread focused on actual sightings.

Thanks Pat for the heads up.

Peter

Welcomed a newbie to The North Abutment Campground at Grenada Lake today- a 39 year old young lady who jumped in feet first-
A traveling speech pathologist working in California with family in Michigan-
Driving from California in a Subaru to Michigan for a family reunion she stopped in Franklin, TN and bought a 2014 Tundra.
Then when she got to Michigan she bought a 2012 25' Eddie Bauer.
She just happened to make it to the campground at about 8 o'clock Friday evening as we were getting in from supper at n town.
Dry nice lady with a very nice rig.
She made it to Louisiana on her way to California last night.
She is probably in Texas just now.
So full of energy.
She will be full-timing in her Eddie.
