New AS on I-10

This afternoon at about 5 o'clock, I was east bound on I-10 about 40 miles west of Jacksonville, Florida, when I came upon and passed a late model Airstream which was also east bound. It was about a 25 footer being towed by a blue Dodge 3500, both with Indiana tags. It's big red number was 2425. I honked and waved, but since I was not towing Lucy at the time, they probably thought that I was some wack job.

On the way back from the lake today met a man from MN towing a 62, 22ft Airstream. We got a tour. He knows nothing about Airstreams or the Forum. Doesn't have a computer. He's headed for Phoenix to meet his wife on the 6th. Had lots of questions for us. Told him all about the Forum and gave him all the information we could in a short time. Good looking little trailer, all original and working.

Bambi Near Stowe VT

Not quite 'recent', but here is a nice little Bambi that looks like it might have got a boo boo from that big tree. Located about 20 minutes east of Stowe VT. Saw it on a trip during last summer...

Then of course there was an interesting red neck trailer that had only one amenity (located just north of upstate NY in Quebec)...

PS. Anybody got a REALLY big plunger?

My Daughter in law spotted an Airstream headed west on I-40 near mile marker 350 in Tennessee on Friday. She took a picture with her cellphone but I havent figured out how to get it yet.

Dave,

To heck with the really big plunger, I think a large roll of paper would be in order here. One has to wonder what this guy's wife thinks.

Thanks for sharing that picture

Two weeks ago my husband and I were out in the yard working on the Airstream. The neighbors across the road had people coming in to her house to pick up their girl scout cookies and one couple came over and asked to see our trailer. They had been looking a very long time for one they said. So last week my husband on his way home from work saw one just being set out for sale. So I call my neighbor and got the number of the kids looking to buy one and called her with the info. I got a voice mail from her today that they had run down there and bought it. She was so excited! It made us feel good to help someone find the Airstream they had been dreaming about.

Wow!

Debbie, That was great of you to help those folks find their addiction! Now you must get them to join the forums and post before and after pictures of all they do to it! Ed

I had given them the info about the forum the day they came to look at ours. I am hoping that now that they found one they will be more inclined to post! I would love to see some pics also!

Debbie and Lewis

Great work finding a new home for an Airstream and helping out those other folks. It's always nice to get more people in your area into the hobby. Now the trick will be to see who can outshine and outcamp the other .

The best part is, the reason they were looking for an Airstream is because he plays in a bluegrass band and they camp at alot of the festivals. I am going to have to get their schedule!!
Just warms my heart to see someone get something they wanted so badly. They are maybe mid to late twenties, and you should have seen her, she was soooo excited!

Deserving owners!

That should earn you a lifetime of good karma. They sound extremely cool, especially for their age, when so few people seem to know how important it is to do what you love. They sound like they are deserving Airstream owners! It really sounds like the right trailer made it's way to them! Make them post!

spotted a Excella 500 going down Fairfield Dr. at about 4:30 this afternoon. honked and gave a thumbs up (i was on my scooter) but they kinda gave me a funny look. i have no idea if they waved back, because by that time i was past them, and i have a full-face helmet, so i couldn't see them anymore.
looked nice and shiny!
