How do you like that campground, I have never camped there but looked it up and it looked nice.

I love it.
Old and small, but beautiful.
You want sites # 40, 42 and along in there for long enough and river view.
BradT is from Atlanta and came to J. P. Coleman because he had met a Canadian camper who was telling him how beautiful the park is and how beautiful the Natchez Trace is.

Yes Mississippi has some beautiful state parks. Thanks for the info Michael. Sorry we did not stop at George P Corsair on our return trip from Canada this summer. I would like to camp in that area though, it's different than the southern part of the state where I usually camp.

Actually, regardless of the beautiful setting and herd of nearly tame deer, we are going to stop camping at Cossar.
It is falling into disrepair and they won't fix things. Maybe it is a budget issue?
We haven't camped at Hugh White in over 4 years for the same reason.
When I pay my $20 per night I expect the water and electricity to work.
After I have made the management aware of a problem 4 times over 4 months and it still isn't repaired, I can only assume it won't be repaired, stop making reservations at that park, and camp elsewhere.
We do have one reservation still booked for Memorial Day weekend.
We'll see if the power on site #22 or #8 has been fixed. If not, we're done.
The North Abutment is still awesome.
The Corps of Engineers has added sewer hookups at Persimmon Hill and are adding sewer hookups at Wallace Creek. Those campgrounds are awesome, too. Maybe they will one day add sewer at the North Abutment. They did add a/c to the bath houses this year at the North Abutment.
We are home for 3 weeks. Can you believe that?
Are you going to the Mississippi Unit Christmas Rally at Roosevelt or the Early Spring Rally at Okatoma (?) in Hattiesburg? Both should be right in your back yard. We can only do one or the other and are leaning toward the Christmas Rally. Coincidentally the Magnolia Messenger RV rally is held at Roosevelt now as well.

We saw this intrepid camper in a KOA on the Olympic Peninsula last Spring. We like the vintage trailers. Nice to see they keep making miles and smiles. Pat

We spotted you on the M1 southbound just north of Nottingham, UK this afternoon about 4PM. New Eddie Bauer 28' (I think) FB. Pulled by a full size Dodge Ram with left hand steering. That's a lot of rig to move around on English thoroughfares, great job!

Yes most of the Corps of Engineers parks in the South are nice. We were planning on the Christmas Rally but it all depends my mother had to get a pace maker last week. She is doing good but I'm not sure if we will make Roosevelt but we'll try. We have reservations at Buccaneer on the gulf so hopefully we will be able to do some winter camping. Okatoma is close to home for me, if I'm home I will go. It's been a while since I have seen everyone.

We do not see many shiny trailers on the road, but this was a special day at the Safeway in Cortez Colorado. You may have to click on the photos to find the first two. We'll be looking for you on the road. Pat

We met these nice folks off the Lincoln Highway at the Ely KOA in Nevada this fall. It was great to have other ASers in the park and a chance to talk with them. Pat
