Saw a 70ish? trade wind with the back cut out, and a metal door superimposed it read Harley hauler on it, at Freddie's gas station in Atlanta, MI on Sunday afternoon. Looked like they could have stored a Harley inside as the door was rather tall.

I know it is not an AS, but if you like aluminum you will like to see this Silver Streak. Owners are from OK and say they are only the third owners of the unit. They were returning from a couple of weeks in CO when we saw them next to us in KS. Unit has new wheels, springs and axles (5200 # drop); otherwise, it is as it was in 1955 when produced.

Six Airstreams in a Row

Spotted these on my way to play golf about 20 miles outside of Fredericksburg, TX.

Lol

That's a crackup! With any luck we'll turn this into the next "slug bug" game.

Silver Streaks definitely count as a sighting. Keep 'em coming.

Looked like my doppelganger...

This evening around dusk I spotted the familiar shape of what appeared to be a late 80's/early 90's 30ish foot AS heading west on Rte 9 towards Charlestown, WV. Neither DW nor I have ever seen an AS on this road before and were speculating on where it could be heading (Harper's Ferry perhaps?).

Here's an Argosy that's been converted into a drive-by coffee concession on 22nd St near Wilmot in Tucson... Don't know the year...can someone say?

And an AS in a driveway on 29th St in Tucson I've passed many times...I don't know the model and year, but I'm sure someone here can say without a 2nd look (chime in!)... It looks like they are working on it.

The 2nd trailer looks like a 1956 or early 1957 Overlander with 13-panel endcaps and optional tandem axles. It does not have the typical slanted wheel wells that were used on California built Airstreams in '57 & '58, so it may be an Ohio built Airstream, or a '56 California Built Airstream. I believe tandems became optional in 1956 on Overlanders, so it can't be ealier than '56. And of course the 13-panel encaps gave way to 7-panel endcaps in mid '57, so it can't be any later.

It looks like a nice one and it's what I'd like to find a little closer to Michigan.

Hey, Joe...thanks for the ID on the Airstream. If you'd like, I can stop by there and find out its status...like... is it for sale...though I do not feel qualified to assess it. Planning a trip to Arizona any time soon?

Happy Trails!

Thanks for the offer, but not necessary. Arizona is not in my forseeable travel plans. Someday, but maybe not until retirement many years in the future. For now I'll just dream about it and alook a little closer to home.

Wife and I saw an 1973 Ambassodor ,not sure of the length 27/31 feet at the Darke County Fair in Ohio. Interior was gone except for the toilet and the front panel which had the converter in it. Left side front window had been removed and replace with a swing out panel for a service window.Outside skin was excellent for its age. Where's my camera when I need it.

Joe...You're welcome...it's been there a while, I know...so who knows...it may still be there by the time you get to AZ!

posted these to TCT photopost yesterday- maybe someone here knows them? They were on the grounds of the Frank Lloyd Wright Kentuck Knob house in the Laurel Highlands, Penna. One of them was Airstream 06152 (I think the one in the foreground)

Watching Dish’s HD programming just now. On Equator, Eye Over America. One of the late model (compared to any of mine) trailers previous to the Classic revival models. Somewhere in Texas. The last town visited was Bandera, but who knows how the editors cut it together. Frankenfilm Is, after all, how everything is done. Was a great looking example of the “shoebox” year Airstreams and is in excellent condition (from a brief glimpse from the air, but very shiny). Looked like somewhere around 30’.

Were You in Baton Rouge?

My daughter was with my mother-in-law today in Baton Rouge when she spotted an older, short Airstream being pulled by what my mother-in-law describes as a 1957 chevy wagon.
Was it you? If you live around Baton Rouge, PM me. We need to get together and talk about trailers!!

I think everybody in Calif. has spotted his trailer. Were the dogs in the back of the truck?

We saw 2 airstreams today. We went to Dacusville SC to a Farm Days festival. A land yaht was parked there. (see photo) We also drove through Tugaloo State Park (GA) and there was a late model AS in the campground. We were driving through to see what the campground was like. We didn't see the AS up close.
