Yes
Yes, it had Obie on the license I think, and a plaque that said Denny's place near the door. Of course, I checked out there rig!. It was a nice one. I think they are from Manheim, PA, and part of the WDCU WBCCI that I am a member of, but we haven't met. Maybe they'll be at Cherry Blossum.

Just went to FL for the weekend and saw 5 Airstream trailers and 1 Class B motorhome on the way down from Atlanta on I-75 on 4/7. Two were triple axels and one was a limited I believe (it was in a Cracker Barrel parking lot next to the interstate). On the way back on 4/10, I saw 5 more travel trailers. Four on the road and one in a camp ground next to the interstate. I figured those north bound were snow birds migrating back home, but those heading south surprised me unless they were heading south for spring break.

Did anyone see us on Sunday
On sunday, we caravanned from the CBR to central NY. Here we are on I-81.
Vintage Thunder, the Argosy, a 59 Ambassador 28 footer, and an 85 34' Limited.

Canadian sighting
Caught a quick glimpse of an A/S rolling north on Hwy. 11 just past Orillia, Ontario this Monday morning. Caught me by surprise as you don't see too many A/S tt's up here esp. at this time of year! I'm not an expert on sexing these things just yet, but it looked to be at least 31 feet, more likely 34, probably early to mid 80's vintage with a burgundy beltline stripe. Black tow vehicle, maybe a Suburban or p/u with a cap. Couldn't help but wonder where they were headed, or if it might've been a member of this forum.

You're right it is a real big ordeal when you see one up our way - not so much in Western Ontario but Central to North to East is a nice surprise.
My bet is that they were one of the lucky ones returning home from their long warm winter south of the border somewhere.
We had a 3.5 week taste of it and sure can not wait to add to the number of weeks each winter.
And for all those spotters of A/S and Argosy's - don't be shy - drive on up and ask if it is for sale - you might just be pleasantly surprised - just ask Happy Campers - who just picked up one of my sightings (and for a steal)- as an added bonus it happens to be the 10th Argosy of the line - what a lucky find. Too bad Peter and I are partial to the 60's Airstream and real wood....although for a small time like overnight we did say a strong maybe and almost had to change sub forums from the Globe Trotter to the Argosy.
Moral of the story - cut off those sightings stop 'em in the middle of the road and say hello! - or take a chance and drive up and admire someones trailer sitting on their lot - you just might go home with an extra toy.
Hey Peter and Denise - you are not too far from us - we should hook up - send us a PM

Rob & Zoe,
You have a very nice symetry in your airstream collection. The little one is half the length and twice the age of the big one. Did you plan that, or was it an accident?

Strange little Argosy
Last evening, I sighted a tiny Argosy motorhome coming at me on the other side of a divided highway. My guess, it was a 20-footer at most. I didn't get a whole lot of time to look it over since traffic was moving fairly briskly.
The body looked fair, but the paint was in really terrible shape, all faded. peeling, and dirty. The Argosy was pulling a sizeable home-made looking trailer with what looked to me like it may have been a disassembled vendor's booth such as used at flea markets or festivals.

Spotted on I-10
Westbound on I-10 at about mile post 85 in Florida Panhandle yesterday afternoon. Looked like an '80's model 24 to 27 footer. Nice looking TT.

I saw one sitting behind a farm just north of the Wisconsin state line on 94/294, just south of Kenosha. It looked like it was in really good shape.

20' Argosy
Oh my word, this thing was so cute.... we met it on US27 (it was northbound). Windows all down the side, Bus Style.
It had stickers all over it, went so fast I could not tell if the stickers were automotive or otherwise. This may seem strange but, It made me think of an Ice Cream Truck. Sorry no pic. Will chase it down if I see it again.

saw one in my hometown today, an 84 MH, owners are ready to go fulltime!! I pulled over and said hello, Airstreams always come with nice people. They said they'd only had her on the street for one hour since getting her from storage and I was the first person to stop. I'm curious how many others will stop and comment!

There's a big beautiful old Excella that's often parked on a hill in Highland Park, Illinois - just near the border with Deerfield, on Deerfield Road. It's always very clean, and the door seems to always be open. It's a beaut!

saw three!
We took a drive up to Portola, CA and saw a big one on a hill in the city of Portola, and also one in a trailer park in the town of Maybe. Yes, Maybe. It was permanently parked with an aluminum skirt...We went by too quickly to take a picture. What a beauty!
We may go back next week, I'll take a picture!

1960 Caravel
In Lynnwood, WA - I drove by it a couple of times before stopping to check it out. The skin looks pretty straight, needs a new axle, and I couldn't get a very good look inside it. The sign said $2500 OBO - PM me if you want the phone number or if you want me to go check it out further.

Little Rock
I am new to AS community. It seems like, now, I see them everwhere. These two are in a field I have driven buy for years and never noticed. They sit about 50 yards apart. No idea who owns them. I-30 at the Alexander exit in Little Rock AR. You could stand in the middle of the Interstate and hit them with a rock.
