From 2003 to about 2007 Toyota offered a 4.7 L V8 in the 4Runner. I have one and it pulls the 23' along pretty well. On some of those steep hills I had to drop to 3rd gear to get the RPMs up but I could keep between 60 and 70 using 3rd and 4th. Downhill was no problem. On my model (4X4 Sport) they also offered the X-REAS suspension shocks. L/F is connected to R/R and R/F is connected to L/R. Hydraulic fluid moves as needed for better handling. I don't know if they still offer that.

After 2007 they offered only the V6 which has a 5,000 lb. towing maximum.

Are your referring to Post #7356, and this photo?

So cool when folks "meet" on this "Airstream Sightings" thread!

Small world.

MUST GET one of those cameras that are integrated into the rear view mirror.

On Monday I spotted a large 28-33 foot Silver Streak pulled off to the side of I-75 southbound not far from Ocala. It was a beauty with a fully refurbished exterior. Roadside Assistance was already there... tow vehicle had the hood up, traffic was heavy and I was towing so I did not want to add to the gawker distracting factor. Wow, I'd love to see that Airstream cousin up close...
Kinda hoped he would be heading here to Travekers Rest and Resort.

One last “sighting” from the motorcycle trip. I went up “Sinks Canyon” outside of Lander WY. As I went by the state park I could see into the CG. Looks like the camp host there has an AS. Couldn’t tell length, but I’m assuming CG host because of the yurt that was up. Maybe not host. But beautiful setting in a phenomenal canyon.

Hampton Beach, NH State Park

Rolling through the Hampton Beach, New Hampshire State Park yesterday and spotted this beauty - AIRZEN with tags out of California. She was in the boondock area of the campground...

Lot's to see on this for modifications...ladder, roof storage and lot's of cool tech stuff showing off on the roof line. Nobody around when I rolled through.

Safe travels and great adventures!

That ladder installation is covering the usually non-opening rear window which is the emergency escape hatch above the corner bed. Wonder if there is a way to knock the ladder out of the way?

We have an FC20 and the only difference between the official "Emergency Exit" and the exact same window 6" to the right of it is the spline has a loop that you can grab as a ripcord to remove the screen. I'm pretty sure I could bust my way out through the plastic screen on any window if I had too, and that small rear window (same on the 19 and 20) is the last one I would try to exit.

The red numbers were mounted high on the front and back so a message runner could find the member in the rally that had a message. This was way before cell phones and walkie talkies..... Just after the signal fires with smoke signals were extinguished I guess.

4 of a kind with a Bowlus kicker

There were 4 Airstreams and a Bowlus at Curt Gowdy State Park on Wednesday night. I was able to get the 4 Airstreams in one picture. The Bowlus was down the hill past the Land Yacht and out of sight for this picture.

Our 16' in the foreground.

Flying Cloud from Georgia in the middle.

'66 Land Yacht from Michigan is upper left.

28' Serenity from Massachusetts is upper right.

I-30 Eastbound near Hope, AR

Hello! To whoever was heading East on I-30 near Hope, AR around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. On my route from Little Rock to Fort Worth, you were my only sighting and that was only a split second. 😩 However, the good news is that now even my grandkids are spotting AS now, too!
