This couple caught an Airstream sighting I wouldn't want to experience.

I hope everyone was Ok. Was this anyone here???

Airstream farm found

We spotted four single axle 60's looking A/S's at Rincon Ranch near Yucca Valley. No camera of course. All of them looked beautifull. This guy has it bad. I won't say exactly where or this ranch will turn into Airstream Mecca.
I'd rather be boon docking in the desert.

Had to stop......

I stopped at two different locations yesterday on my way home from work.

One was at the intersection of Hwy607 and Interstate 59 near Picayune, MS - there were 5 AS there in various years and models. The guy that answered the door of the place was not to interested in talking - he said "I use them for my business" - "It's where my employees stay". There are alot of out of state workers down here for all the construction - I believe this is one of those operations. Not to bad of shape - like a mini rally with a bunch of SOB's thrown in.

The other was on a back road near my home that my wife and I happened across several months back just driving on the weekend. It was a longer model - maybe late 70's International in the back yard of a house. The person that answered the door said I could take a look. Not much left - most of the windows are plexiglass and the vents (3) were gone or damaged so there was a lot of leaks - no placards - the aluminium was replaced poorly and the front looked to be wrecked in the past.

I'll post pictures if I can - but both were on private property and inaccessable from the road directly.

This afternoon I saw a late model, maybe 24' or 25', towed by a red pickup on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga. Wouldn't you know it, my lane finally starts moving when I spotted him, so I didn't get a good look. He was four lanes over from me going south and fighting the shopping mall traffic while trying to change lanes. He must have had a good reason to be around our biggest shopping district with an Airstream in tow. I admire his guts for maneuvering through the Christmas rush.

I saw an Airstream sitting at an Exxon off I-40 in Kingston Tn. I was going to try and talk to them but by the time I got in the turning lane, they were pulling out. It was being pulled by a Red Ford Truck. It was Saturday dec 23.

On 12/26 we headed down for our annual Christmas/New Year's trip to Walt Disney World. On the way down I saw two Airstreams headed north on I-75. Unusually low number for a trip from Atlanta to central Florida.

On the way back yesterday I also saw one vintage AS about 30' or so in not too good of condition and one Argosy on I-75, but the unusual thing was that I saw two triple axel Avions within 10 minutes of each other heading south on the Florida turn pike between Orlando and the toll booth just south of the last service plaza south of I-75!
