Wells, Maine

Yesterday morning @1030 Route 95 southbound just passing exit 19 at Wells, Maine. Beauty @25-28' out for an adventure. Don't remember the color of the TV, but there were some Big Red Numbers...3324...we think. We were headed north, not towing, no camera available as we passed.

Safe travels and fun memories!

While waiting to fuel up yesterday in Lampasas, TX, we saw another AS (25 ft, I think) on 183 heading north. We saw you wave and waved back, but not sure if they could see us since the truck windows were pretty dark.

Three other Airstreams camped at Pinnacles National Park this past weekend. A couple of Safaris and a Bambi.

Pinnacles must be an AS magnet, last year when we were there there were three other AS's at the same time.
It is such a beautiful park. How has the temperature been?

We have a biased opinion about Pinnacles. It's my wife's spiritual hideout. It's where we took our AS on her maiden voyage. That's why we named our AS "Pinni". I like to think it's a magnet for AS's. Our AS club has a rally there every year, it's a relatively short drive from the Bay Area, and yes, it's a beautiful area. Maybe too because there's a new AS dealership located between San Jose and Pinnacles. Seems like more and more AS's find their way there especially in the last couple of years. This past weekend the days were comfortably warm with breezes. The evenings were outstanding...with raccoons fighting each other in the trees! Crazy! When we left on Monday afternoon it was getting pretty hot. Probably our last outing there until October. Love to camp there in the winter.

Happy travels~John

As we were towing ours down 81 south yesterday caught sight of 3 going northbound on 81. If I remember correctly, it was in Pennsylvania, last one possibly Maryland.

One older land yacht, was a site of beauty! and 2 new ones looked like 25 footers.

Saw a really nice 1999 Excella 34' at Julian Price Park Campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Stopped for a moment and chatted with nice folks from Charlotte, NC.

Spotted an early 70's 31 footer, heading west on I-275 on the north side of Cincinnati, on Wednesday 06/20/18.

It was being towed by a dark colored dually pickup, which had a golf cart or ATV in the bed. Looks like the trailer still has the original Armstrong air conditioner.

The license plate on the trailer, the last two digits are 34, and it was an Ohio plate so perhaps they live in the area and I might see them at a campground some weekend.

It looked like you were heading off on a good adventure, or maybe returning from one. I was envious since I was on the clock, driving between construction sites.

Keep the silver side up!

Saw two Bambi’s with dealer plates each being towed by Ford F250’s heading north on 680 in Danville, Ca. Probably going from dealership in south San Jose up to sister dealership in Fairfield for service or sale. San Jose is new and working on opening their own parts and service departments.
