I did have to wonder where one would find a spare DC-9 nose section laying around in Kerrville, Texas. I don't remember seeing any stray ones the last time I was there.

Airstream sightings

As I was concentrating on making a controlled descent into Charleston WV on Sunday, there was a southbound Excella gaining altitude. I waved and flashed my lights, but couldn't see the WBCCI long enough to remember it. Keeping an eye on that WV Turnpike traffic was a tad more important....

I found that swooping the Avion into Charlston on the turnpike it is difficult to get the altitude down enough to insure a safe landing! I use the w. Va. Turnpike as a guide, still have to keep it below 5000 feet though. Jim

Saw two yesterday, one a relatively new 25 footer headed east outside o Monroe, LA, pulled by a maroon truck.

The second headed west (Albequerque?) an old Bambi that was gorgeous....outside of Texarkana, TX.

Please keep your eyes open for a forty foot flat bed truck carrying a 1952 13 panel Airstream Cruiser heading from Kansas to California. We bought her and she is being delivered. We are so excited! If you see her please let us know!!

woke up this morning with an Excella parked next to. Roger and his wife from Tyler, TX. They are just back from a 5000 mile trip and headed home. He has some damage from a flat, rear left tire....

Not an Airstream, but very cool nonetheless-
What happened to that rumor the Airstream was going to have GM reproduce the PD4104 with a Duramax/Allison?

Street fair crafts classroom

Saw this '63 Overlander last Saturday at the Downtown Bryan (TX) Festival. The interior had been gutted and converted into a classroom for teaching crafts.
