I can't find which post you are responding to, but Airstream still makes B-vans- the Interstate. 1996 was the last year for the silver Class A's that look like the trailers. I think they still made the white fiberglass Class A motorhomes until maybe 2006 or so. The last one I remember is the Skydeck.

I wish the rumor of a new 4104 bus with Duramax/Allison and an Airstream interior was true-
Talk about Class A- I would break my neck and go in debt to get one of those. I would imagine it would have at least a $300,000 price tag.

Spotted a mid-90s 30' (it appeared to be almost identical to ours) near Bowie, Maryland, heading south on Route 3, at MD 450, yesterday afternoon around 2ish. Towed by a white Titan I think. The numbers indicated they were from southern Maryland. (We were in my car, waiting to turn, so it's extremely unlikely you would've noticed us.)

I go up to every AS owner I see to talk, and I don't even own one yet!!!

Someone told me that a typical travel trailer is built with a 7-year lifespan in mind. Decent 20-30 yr-old Airstreams still command 4 digit prices. Bottom line is that AS is DIFFERENT and it is an ICON! Ask movie stars why they own them!

Owning an AS is like owning a Corvette (which I do), which is also an icon. There is such a thing as the "Corvette Wave". It's a brotherhood, a fraternity. Not all owners appreciate or want this, but many do, but you get it along with the trailer. I met a woman at a recent AS rally who just days earlier bought a 70s Argosy. She told me she bought an Airstream just so she could be a part of the WBCCI membership and is looking forward to going to Alaska.

I've seen an older, beautiful and shinny AS near my parents' home in Duluth, MN every time I visit (four times in the last 2 months)
It's parked in a driveway.. I'll try and get a pic next time. :-)

I saw this coffee house on wheels Vintage Airstream at Stratford on Avon beside the Shakespeare theater in England last night. What a polish job...

The photo of the back of the unit was taken in vertical mode and the forum will not display it properly when the other three are in horizontal mode when I upload them.

Are you sure that's an Airstream? I think it might be one of those British knockoffs (there was a thread on that here somewhere...something "Retro").
