Airstream sightings

Parked with about 40 other Airstreams at the 4CU Picacho Peak State Park (south of Phoenix, Arizona) New Year's rally. This morning (2 Jan 2015) was about 27 degrees at sunrise with similar morning temps for tomorrow and the next day. Highs to be mid 40s.

Switz how is the wood pile looking, do you need more? We are coming down today.

We have 8 bundles in the back of our truck in the camper shell covered bed to add to the pile today that stayed dry during the rain Wednesday. A few more bundles would never hurt. Had a massive fire last night.

I 30 between Texarkana and Dallas, saw an Airstream Interstate, not once, but twice. No WBCCI, but was hauling a small cargo trailer behind it, on New Years Day.

Saw two yesterday, one up close ( 23' new International) at Doran Beach in CA, the other we spotted from the Birds Cafe patio in Bodega Bay. It was camping way down by the water's edge at Porto. Happy travels!

Saw an older Bambi on I-80 eastbound near Sacramento Ca today. Safe travels.

I 10 westbound at Pensacola approaching I 110, a nice 25 or 27 foot, the only one not headed to Topsail from what I can tell. On Tuesday morning, westbound on US 190 nearing Livingston TX was a classic 20 ft, who returned the light flash.

Spotted a 1987 32' Argosy with two doors. Parked at a tire shop in Abbotsford, BC. Talked with the owner. He said he got tired of owning brand new trailers with slides that would leak after a few years so he jumped at the opportunity when this one popped up on Craigslist. 27 years old & looks brand new inside & out.

West bound route 10 5-6 Airstreams (4 Excellas, 2 Interstates), Big Bend National Park 25' with owners always on the run, last two days two more vintage units heading East. Cannot wait to meet some Airforum members in Arizona!

Met a super nice couple towing an '81 at a rest area on I-85 South just outside Charlotte on Sunday. They were on their way to Mystic Springs, FL and we were coming home from Greensboro, NC.
