Had fun chatting with a nice couple who were heading home to Reno NV while they were gassing up at 49er Truck Stop in Sacramento Friday. They had a shiny new 2014 27 footer pulled by a sleek red Toyota Tundra. Airstreamers are so friendly!

Spotted a couple of '70s Airstreams headed west on I-20 Saturday afternoon on my drive between Atlanta and Columbia.

Thanksgiving week

Sunday before Thanksgiving we passed a '50's model around Cottendale, FL being pulled by a tan F150 just before getting on I-10. We were headed to Rocky Bayou State Park in Niceville.

When we got to the park, there was a nice newer 'Stream, maybe 23-24 feet. Didn't get to talk to them as they were gone in a couple days. Another showed up later in the week, right next to the bath house (we were in site 42). Looked to be a '70's model with hail dimples on the front. Towed by a white Dodge PU with lots of stickers on it. Never got to meet them either. Bet we were all there visiting relatives and didn't spend much time in the park except at night. Toward the end of the week, a Mercedes chassis camper appeared, but I was never able to see if it was an Interstate.

On the way home passed two between about mile marker 110 and 130 on I-10 in the early afternoon of the Monday after Thanksgiving. We were east bound, they west. Got the friendly headlight flash from both.

In a weeks' time saw several, but never got to talk their owners. Anybody we know?

Jim

Saw 4 today, all on I-95 southbound.
A new Interstate just south of Jacksonville. Then 3 trailers within a mile just north of Jacksonville, must have been traveling together.

Probably, that is correct.

These snow birds (wife and I) were headed north, not towing, going home for the Christmas holidays. Hopefully we'll be back to the trailer, where it's warm, in a few weeks!
Waking up to the 30's this morning was a shock!

I-81 south

Saw a nice AS southbound on I-81, Salem Virginia about 2pm, Sunday
Dec. 7. I didn't get to see the number or any details as I was driving Northbound in the chaos. It was shining very nicely in the afternoon sun.

wish I had been headed south
Have a good one !

Is the AS still there? If so I want to swing by and take a look.

Spotted a polished 60's Bambi on "Shark Tank" last night. The lady was selling footprints you can put down during holidays; reindeer prints at Christmas, Bunny prints for Easter, even Tooth Fairy prints (I always thought the Tooth Fairy flew in?) The AS was part of her display.

Saw this 1948 Curtis Wright on Route 66 of all places. I pulled over and asked if they wanted to sell it. Bought it!

On our way home from San Luis Obispo, spotted 4 Airstreams coming north on the 101 between Santa Barbara and Santa Maria. Bet they were our CCU friends heading home from Ventura. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Headed towards Spartanburg, SC on I-26 East Bound. It's dark out, but shot some pictures and waved like crazy. If they are not on these forums, they think these Southern Americans have never seen an Airstream Motor home.

South, way south in the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico.... Boom! Saw this outside a COSTCO. I think is one of those European food truck Airstreams. It looked like a 25... It was quite a surprise.
