Fifty Point Conservation Park on the west? end of Lake Ontario. A brand new 2015 25' FC. The gentleman and his wife had just come up from Lakeland, Florida to visit family and were on their maiden voyage in the Airstream. They had previously travelled in a MH but were looking forward to trying some of the smaller more primitive campsites. They have been married for 66 years and were thoroughly enjoying their new Airstream. Easy to see why. The Airstream is absolutely beautiful. Jim

M115 near Cadillac

Today as I waited to cross M115 just outside Cadillac Michigan I saw a 70's perhaps early 80's Airstream. It had the blue trim around the bottom. It was about a 25 footer. It was being towed by a brownish pickup truck.
It was pouring rain. I rolled down my window and gave a great big thumbs up.
You honked your horn and made my day!!
Its a treat to see them.

Saw two midday today, both headed west on I40 between Knoxville and Nashville, TN.

The first looked like a new 25 footer, the second was a similar size but was wearing a blue belt.

Saw a unit heading north on I25 just north of Ceyenne Wyoming as we were heading south into Denver. It looked a classic unit being pulled by a red truck make and model unknown. We were pulling south with a white F150 and a newer 28' flying Cloud

There are two other Airstreams in the campground besides ours. One couple is from Vicksburg, MS. The other couple is from Sallis, MS. Both trailers are 80's 34 footers.

Looks like the nose of a DC-9 strapped to the body of a 'Stream.

There was an Airstream pulling out of the dump station at Pinery Provincial park today while we were just pulling into the back of the line. We didn't get a good look at it through the bushes/trees. While we waited someone else mentioned to us that it (the other AS) was holding up the line while their kids ran around filling-up pails of water....perhaps for black water flush?

My question is why anyone would take a DC-9 nose and use it on the front of a trailer???

Why would you NOT bolt the nose of a DC-9 to the front of an airstream??? I bet money it's the only one out there... What a conversation starter that would be. "Is that original?", "Do they still make them?" My question is WHY, after all that work, would you mount a window unit AC hanging out the side of the trailer???

The AC unit might be on slides so it's only visible when being used. That's what we have on our Sovereign.
