Argosy seen...with a For Sale sign

I have seen it for some time....this morning I saw them pull it out and put a sign on it. Gainsville, Texas...north of DFW, on Hwy 82. It looked pretty nice and original....kind of looks like original tires are on it.

Went to Yellowstone this weekend and just returned home. But before I get to today -- last Thursday at the Three Forks State Park just off I-90 in Montana, we were pleased to share the place with this nice 19' Globetrotter with Wyoming plates.

What a day! 15 and a "probable!"

Broke camp at Bridge Bay in Yellowstone this morning - last night was their last night; they (that campground; park's still open) closed for the season today. Headed west through Old Faithful, to West Yellowstone and through Ennis to I-90 and on to home to Missoula. Didn't see our first AS until after Old Faithful, almost to Madison, when we met a newer one pulled by a black pickup on a curve along the Firehole River. Then, less than a mile in a pull-out, a silver-painted, modern-looking motor home, but with "Airstream" on the side near the top. That was great, but we don't know the moho's lineage well, yet. We stopped for lunch along the Madison river, just west of Madison Junction, and as soon as we got back on the road, was a nice, newer 28' or so AS pulled by a white Suburban (picture below). That was number 3! Then, just north of West Yellowstone, a half-mile ahead of us going north on 191 while we turned left toward Quake Lake -- the tell-tale rear end going up the hill, but only a "probable" since it wasn't a positive I.D. Then it didn't seem to stop!
4. Hebgen Lake, a nice newer 25' or so in a campground by the lake.
5. Small, 70's era 20-25' just west of Quake Lake at a small campground along Hwy 287.
6. New, 30' at a campground along the Madison River, south of Ennis.
7. Older, less than 20' parked along a house in Ennis.
8. New, Bambi (?) maybe 20' or so, at a RV camp just north of Ennis.
9. I-90 just as we exited on a frontage road in Whitehall, an older AS passed on the interstate -- it apparently was behind us; what a surprise (see picture 2)
10. I-90, eastbound near Pipestone, just east of the Continental DIvide (see picture 3).
11. As we drove through Butte, there at the Visitor Center just off I-90 was a newer, 25-28 footer at the RV camp.
12. Just south of Deer Lodge, on I-90 eastbound, an older 24-26' AS pulled by a red pickup.
13. Near Bear Mouth state park, on I-90 eastbound, 20-24' (see picture 4). That's SMOKE in the picture, from the fires south of Missoula in Idaho.
14. Near Turah, just 12 miles east of Missoula, just north of the highway a really nice, long, Airstream motor home -- maybe a 345? It had a large, blue stripe along the side and got us pretty excited (first we'd seen).
15. Then, just a few miles from our exit, near Bonner, MT my DW said "Older one, parked in a storage yard!" I said that doesn't count but she who must be obeyed said, "I saw it; it counts!"

Thus, 15 and a probable -- ( the probable going up the hill, earlier - the last one counted!). As we exited in Missoula, I said, "This day was like a triple ace - 15 sightings!"

DW said "I like this game!"

Spotted in Asheville NC.

Saw this one at the Wal Mart in Asheville I did not get to close as my guess is they were resting. Hope you enjoyed your brief trip through Asheville.
It was a very nice triple axle Guess about 34 feet. Shades drawn and vents up and jack down. Noticed they were still there when I passed this morning at 7 am. Glad to hear no one ran them off though the signs all say no overnight parking.

We passed 3 separate Airstreams heading southwest on US87/64 heading towards Clayton NM as we were heading north to Raton. We got and gave good waves and headlights. Wendy

I think your's is the first sighting of this trailer on this thread, but I am not certain. News of this trailer was reported on the Forums in this thread: Link

The Story Corp is chronicled in this link.

Your post of this photo prompted me to look for the Story Corp website. I am looking forward to spending some time on their site. Oral family histories have always intrigued me.

Eastbound on I-40 east of Checotah, OK. Looked like the bed was full of bicycles.

Where Are They?

Just traveled from Longmont CO to Flagstaff AZ via I-25 and I-40.
Saw only one Airstream en route. It was west of Albuquerque on I-40 going the opposite direction. We exchanged light flashes, but didn't get a good view.

I wish we would have had time to talk to them but they were in an interview when we went by and we had to run. There were two big dents in the back but overall looked cool.
