I passed one yesterday in Wisconsin headed east on I-90. I didn't notice until too late, but it was a very shiny older teardrop shape...

I did, however, try to redeem myself by stopping to snap this photo at a Shell station on I-90 in South Dakota!

Rt 83 headed north just outside of Lichfield Ohio at 11am Sunday morning. I flashed my lights & waved like a fool. No response from you though! Car in front of me probably thought I was nuts!

I was at St Joe State Park in FL and saw 4 or 5 Airstreams down there at the camp ground. I did not see any on the road.

How about a virtual sighting? I was playing the new Grand Theft Auto 5 video game last night, when I cut through a studio lot and found a couple Airstreams. One you could walk into, which I thought was pretty cool.

OK, I'll say it:

"Looks like it needs new axles"

My first thought was, "Nice parking job."

That is a pretty good job of getting the tongue up into the bushes.

At least it has the correct number of axles.

Who was the virtual dummy that carried out the virtual umbrella instead of pulling out that great big virtual awning?

That is cool and shows the coolness factor of both lexus and airstream.
What cracked me up was the garage... Perfectly organized with individual golf clubs displayed... and an uncased guitar. Who stores their guitar on a wall in their garage?! It was way over the top in terms of fastidiousness. To me they were appealing to those who are neat freaks... all their ducks in a row and their kids in organized activities from dawn to dusk. BTW, it was a single axle AS so 20 foot at best. A family of four and a large dog in a 20 footer? Good luck with that! The dog was so large that it had to ride in the second row of the GX. Not a good ad for selling to families with pets.

This may, or may not, be a scene from my garage...not saying one way or another. But IF it were, I MIGHT be guilty - and I MIGHT not....

As for the charge of perfectly organized - I will never be convicted for that... :-)

At Lake Somerville State Park last Friday (18 October) we had just gotten set up and had lunch when an Airstream rolled up and pulled into the next site. I wonder if the rangers recommended the site because they knew we'd be next door?

It's an optioned-up '06 Safari owned by a couple from Lake LBJ, TX.

NASA Airstream at US Space & Rocket Center

We visited the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville today. On display is the Airstream used to quarantine the Apollo 12 astronauts when they returned from the moon.

How many astronauts? 4? How long was the Airstream....looks like 4 air conditioners. How long were they quarantined?

I would like to see the one Dick Cheney used. paula

Driving home from Pipestem SP on Sunday, we saw three beautiful Sovereigns on the WV turnpike in the Beckley area. One took the same exit as us, but turned the opposite direction.

I met a fellow who worked for Nasa during this period. He was not an airstreamer but was at a rally for SOBs and we just happened to be at the same campground on our maiden voyage with our 2008.

He indicated that there were many issues with trying to seal that airstream, and that they probably would have been better off building a facility from scratch. He wasn't anti-airstream or anything, just being honest.
