One for the road...

Saw this one coming back from Eureka Springs, AR a few weeks ago... they waved as we passed them by. Funny, ole "Sylvie" has 207,000 miles on her but she passed this one up like she was new....

Go girl!

Well it looks like mid-60's to me but I'm no expert.

Today, a dog got after me, and a man with a beer in his hand watched me from the porch of an old house back in the briars, probably got my license plate. So, if they get stolen, guess who they'll be coming after first?

I do hope the owner calls. I have the aluminitis syndrome real bad. No place to put them, really, and 400 miles from home, no trailer, no tools, but that would not stop me. The will is strong -- the way is possible.
Oh wow if I had place to store those, I would help you telekinetically move them. Both are perfect. On the caravanner, WOW I didn't think that many windows was possible on such an old trailer. I'm digging it.

Saw an Airstream headed north on US460 as we were returning south from camping in Northern Virginia. It was just a glimpse but it looked like a twenty-five or twenty-seven FB. As I glanced in the mirror after we passed there was a lovely panorama window looking back at me from the rear of the trailer.

One is a 1956, the other ...

... I'm still poring over the VintageAirstreams.com site to try to find the CA model. The numbers were sometimes not as helpful as with the OH models, I've been told.

This one, the Caravanner, is 1956, according to info on VintageAirstreams.com.

I'm still working on the CA model.

Please help me levitate these babies from Her (Owner who is unknown) Dad's property to my Dad's back yard, the way station between there and home. All together now, think "I know these will go to live with IndyAnne" real strong and persistently. I'll look out my window in the morning, and I will not be surprised, I'll say, "Of course!"

Don't they look forlorn?

Went to visit this one today. Owner wants to sell it, so they contacted me. Too big of a project for me, even at the good price of $2000. If anybody is interested in this jewel, you can contact me and I'll get you in touch with the owner. It's in the north west corner of SC.

Went to visit this one today too! This one is also in the NW corner of SC. It has a lot of good pieces on it, but I don't need this one right now. Too may projects already. I do have the owners name and phone number if anybody is interested. He also wants around $2500, but I'm sure he would negotiate. His wife said she wants it gone.

What on Earth is that thing on the rear panel? Looks like a giant exhaust port.

North Texas sighting

DW says she saw southbound AS just north of Decatur on Hwy 287 this morning as she was headed north. Thought it was a little longer than our Safari and perhaps pulled by a Sequoia or Highlander? Anyone?

I think it's a spare carrier without the spare itself.

Airstream Sighting in Vancouver, BC

This Land Yacht cruised right by us on Hwy 1 in Vancouver BC -- we were just outside of West Vancouver approaching North Vancouver....the TV was a Ford F350....

I was drooling !!

Shouldn't you be polishing or posting an update?

This is what happens when I get bitter about staying at work for 10 or 11 hours a day for weeks on end-- I start to troll the forums for an hour or two in the middle, reducing my working time closer to normal, and then I don't finish the work that had piled up, and then I stay even later.

Also, I just updated. I should just leave work and head to the trailer....
