Some friends of mine in Little Rock, Arkansas just messages me via Facebook about a AS going cheap. We're not in the market, but I offered to pass along the info/word. I have NOT seen the AS & really have no other info, than what I copy/pasted here. But there's a # which should help out anyone who might have interest....

Hey guys.... we found a 1970/1971 AS for sale here in LR...poor condition...some outside body damage..the interior needs total replacement...asking price $800.00...sounded like a deal if you know anyone interested in restoring one...

They are going out of business now....reduced the price on that trailer $400 in the last few days...I talked with her yesterday...she wants it gone! I think it's salvageable.....and might even pick it up for less than the $400 she is asking....perfect for someone with time, energy and some bucks to soak into it.

I actually posted a pic of that AS on this thread a week or so ago. Scroll back and you'll see it. I believe there is a pretty good dent on the opposite side ( not shown in the pic).

We began the ohio turnpike at the baumhart rd entrance and a silver international from PA was driving past. We caught up with them and stayed together along with Loudruff until we got to the detroit exit & service plaza. We waved like hell as we pulled into the service plaza and they blew by waving. Hope ya'll made it safely!

Been driving to Yellowstone from Sebring, Florida since yesterday. Have only seen one As in someone's yard. Tons of SOB's on the road.....but haven't seen any AS......until we pulled into Monte Sano State Park. Walked up to the campground host site to check in and what do you know....they are in a 2012 international! They other people picking up a bundle of wood are in a 2013 Bambi and we come rolling in in our 2011 classic! It was fate I tell you! We just polled in here on a whim. I have pictures.....I just have to figure out how to attach them......

Heading west on I70 we were passed by a streamer with the numbers 7575 on it. They honked and waved. Saw two others going west one near BLue Earth Mn and another on Hy 21 near Tomahawk Wi.

June 20'th I saw two airstreams at Defeated Creek Campground near Carthage, TN. One left out on the morning of 21'st think the other was still there when I left on the 22'nd. I met one going Westbound on I-40 today but I don't know what I was near.

We spotted another AS around Indepedence, Mo. Heading E on I 70 as we were heading W on I 70.

Near Archabold, Ohio 6/23/2013 on the Ohio Turnpike headed West we spotted an Airstream Motorcoach #11339. We were headed East!

I went back thru your posts & found your post & pic on it. Hopefully some brave soul will rescue it. But it won't be us. It was great to see a pic of what it was though. By the looks of it (& the knowledge we've gained, as 15 month Airstream-ers, we think it's a rear bath model. Hard to ascertain much more by that one pic. Hopefully we'll hear about it's saving & reno some day!!

That AS is driving me crazy. It's only about 20 minutes from my house and I suspect it could be purchased for $400 or $500, but I really can't take that on right now. The business has a bunch of dumpsters being loaded from their buildings. I suspect if it's not purchased soon it will be taken to the scrap yard.

I was riding from Santa Fe eastward on I-40 on my Honda GoldWing enroute to Tulsa, OK tonight and near the eastern border of New Mexico I saw a pickup with two Airstreams on a car carrier West bound. It looked like a 22" and a 16' and they were new.

Later I saw a long Airstream motorhome parked on the North side of I-40 on a side road maybe 50 miles West of Oklahoma City.

Therre many SOBs headed west bound.
