A busy day

I wish I was dragging my Cloud..
On the way back from the Rio Grande Valley to the Red River area....I saw numerous folks heading out for adventure. Maybe saw "The Pill" between Corpus and San Antonio. New red Ford with an aluminum canoe on top, and a newer Safari headed north. Then another newer mode towed by a white TV...??? south of San Antonio. A 34 ft, new model in storage shed by Johnson City and a white truck towing a nice Airstream up toward Glen Rose...I blinked at him and even got a return wink. I like that! One in storage behind the home south of Weatherford and two...one motorhome...at Era Texas. On the way to the Valley I saw a nice polished...Vintage type with Wally numbers being used as a Oilfield Gate guard on I-37, East side, by hwy 99 near George west. We should know him here??? In Weslaco, TX there were two I came across...a new one in an RV park storage area on 18th and Airport and a 1969, or so, in a driveway on Westgate. A very old Cloud used as a permanent abode on Hwy 107 in Edinburg...it even had moss growing on it.

We arrived at our Ft Worth RV park and once again there is an A/S trailer parked here. A pretty 1999 Safari with a blue pinstripe. We haven't gotten to talk to the owner yet.. but we are on the look out for him.

On our way out of FT Worth, we just saw an older A/S, nice and shiny, going southbound on I-35. In the bed of the TV was a big longhorn statue!!

The last pic is not an Airstream. What is it? Airlight?

Nope - it is an Avion, probably late 60's pr early 70's. Avions had a sightly different shape than Airstreams and retained 13 panel end caps through at least 1972, and maybe a couple of years longer. It looks like it has an air suspension (a 70's thing?) because of the wide spacing of the tandem axles - not sure which years they offered that feature.

BAMBI SIGHTING!!!

Late model bamboo going northbound on I-95 just north of the Palm Beach County/Martin County line... I spotted them around Becker Tree Farm. Forgot to look at the TV but April says it was a Ford SUV.

Saw an Airstream Classic motor home parked for the night at Rockaway Townsquare Mall off I-80 in New Jersey last Thursday night. It was late at night so we didn't drive up for a closer look.

The WBCCI Civil War Caravan was arriving at the Natches River View RV park as we were leaving. I decided to loop thru that part of the campground as say 'Hello' as we departed...everyone was real nice except the parking committee lady...she was NOT happy to see a 34' stream without WBCCI rumbers on her row... Now I know what are the hand signals for 'they are not with us'!!!

Snapped a few images of the group as they were heading south on the Natchez Trace. Lot of waving hands and flashing of headlights.
