We saw three yesterday on I-10 between the I-75 junction and Marianna, Fl. Two were new models and one was an Excella.

How about a vintage kin sighting? Yesterday I passed this nice Avion headed east on I-20 toward Jackson.

That massive steel frame on these trailers allowed them to hang a platform off the back.

Yesterday we saw 4 Airstreams in Mesquite... Ok, so we went looking at some new models out of curiosity... but none the less, we saw them. They were soooo pretty.... and had grey water tanks... I am currently dealing with grey water tank envy. Horrible condition....

Mid 80's Excella?

Yesterday (1-6-11) I spotted a what I think was about a mid 80's Excella about 25' headed south on California 86 in Imperial, CA. TV was a pickup truck. It was going the other way.

Kinda sad somehow, seeing an older beauty like that being slowly demolished for no good reason...

Can anyone identify the year? Click on the photo for a bigger version.

The front street side window and tail light housings idicate that this is a 1965 Airstream. As for length, I am betting it is a 24' Tradewind:
65TW

For all we know this could be someones current or future project. Parts missing could be off for restoration. Being out like that I'm sure it is subject to vandalism, but being as visible as it is, I suspect this one would be much more likely to be restored than one hidden under bushes out in the "south forty" rotting slowly away.

I-5 North

I passed this rig on I-5 Northbound along Mission Bay in San Diego this morning. TV was an Explorer driven by a lady. No this wasn't a plug for Davis Trucking Company.

I had such high hopes for that movie....let's just say it was less than successful.

Pharoh's 65 Safari?

Saw this guy sitting in a parking lot directly across from the pyramid in downtown Memphis today. Looks like a '65 Safari to me...
