It's not an AS, but it is Aluminum... Saw this Avion in San Rafeal. Looks like it's in great shape.

Kudos!

Don't know who you are, but you were in Yellowstone's Madison campground on Sept 21 with the shiniest classic A/S we've seen in a while! Great job on the restoration! We stopped by, but you were out teasing the bears or something. (Speaking of Yellowstone: never get stuck in a buffalo herd which is travelling the same direction you are. Talk about slow!)

I've got my spies out.

My son text-messaged me today to tell me he saw a vintage airstream on US 380 eastbound in McKinney, TX. It was #2598. We are looking for silver all day long!

First Monday Trades Days in Canton, TX. Just walking in from the car I've seen an Argosy around 20 feet, an older International and I think a Tradewind from the early 70s. I'm not great at identifying them on site and didn't feel comfy snooping around unattended trailers to see the model tags.

We saw this one today....pushed and parked way back behind some bushes. No one living in it.
You know...sometimes I will think about any stolen Airstreams when I see them parked like this. ha....weird.

I was using the live webcam for the Port San Luis-Avila Beach, CA area and saw this Airstream camped there. It almost looks like there is an AIR sticker on the back window. This was a live image taken about 5 minutes prior to this post.

Thumbs up Raleigh, NC #9668

Saw an oldie going N on Creedmoor rd today. To fast to tell much but it was old, short and the faded # was 9668.
Then saw a purty Argosy on New Light Rd just N of 98.

Saw an Airstream trailer with Maine license plates being pulled by a pickup without extended mirrors being driven by a pretty blonde lady east of Sioux Falls on I-90 westbound. October 7, 2010 about 1:30 pm.

I got close enough to see the plates and the trailer looked like it was going down the road without a tow vehicle. The driver couldn't see passing traffic till it was almost past the trailer.

Saw a beautiful modern ~27' International on the south side of Austin, TX, heading west on Hwy 290. I was focusing on the Airstream & not so much on the TV, but if I remember rightly it was a mid size browinish SUV. Really a nice looking rig.

Hadn't thought of it that way . . . but now that you mention it .
I guess I don't see all that many pretty Airstreams - nor I guess many exceptional International ladies for that matter - in this neck of the cedars.

Thanks for the nice chuckle for the day. We all need'em now 'n then.
