Airstream sightings

We were camping at Navarre Beach all week. We met a wonderful couple fairly new to air streaming named Dennis and Denise with their incredible mirror-finished rig, I think it was a 76. Then on the way home, we passed another gorgeous stream going the opposite way in Montgomery, AL-- and lo and behold it was our friends From the school where I teach! They were headed TO the beach, we were headed home since teachers have to go back a week earlier than the kids! Our sen kids were so excited to see them and their airstream!

Looked like it was pretty well gutted inside because owner had it on bumper hitch only, no wd hitch. Big AC shroud on top.

Could be, must have been eastbound on I-30 when they stopped for supper. Truck has Texas plates, so assuming they are bound from somewhere in East Texas perhaps

Saw a newer looking model 18'ish Airstream in GA just south of Savannah. I was headed south with mine in tow and it was headed north.

Saw a late 80's? model Airstream on I-5 headed north, just before Los Banos, CA area. Could be wrong on the year, I'm not too knowledgeable on those newfangled ones. If you're here, we were in the Mini Cooper with the interior light on, and I was the passenger waving frantically...

We're taking Ethel out on her maiden voyage right now at Hillsborough River SP and there's a late 60s-early 70s here as well with an Ohio State decal on it (yuck on many levels).

So far that's all I've seen, but I haven't walked all 112 campsites.

Saw this one leaving Arrowhead State Park at Lake Eufaula here in OK on my way to the golf course earlier today. He actually pulled out in front of us.

Saw you all yesterday on CA-101 and CA-1....wow their was a lot of you out and about. I must say this was the most airstreams I have ever seen in a day. I lost count after ten... used all my hands and toes up. Drove from Thousand Oaks to Pismo Beach in CA. Saw 1-16',1-19', 1-23', 5-25', 1-27', 1-?', just on the road. Also lots of tops bottoms and sides parked in campgrounds along the way. One poor soul stopped by law enforcement...warning lots of traffic enforcement to balance California budget in this area. Well hope the rest of you have a great time on the Golden Coast.

Spotted yesterday on I-5 Northbound near Harris Ranch. A USC sticker in the rear window of the AS. Great polish job (notice the southbound traffic in the reflection)

Ugh. Well that's too bad. Not everyone can go to UCLA. :-)
But I guess the airstream makes up for it :-D

In all seriousness, saw a couple new ones on US 1 northbound around Santa Cruz, but nothing on I-5. Hopefully someone spots me next weekend on the way to Sequoia. Maybe I should put a UCLA sticker in the rear window. :-D

Saw this beauty headed north on I-275 in Downtown Tampa Sunday morning. Whew, almost didn't get the iPhone out quick enough.....

Helping brother move furniture (therefore the U-Haul trailer) and drove past the Airstream Ranch in Dover, FL. 1st time getting a photo, I'm usually behind the wheel.....

Running west from canyon village toward Norris yesterday, saw 6 AS trailers headed east, and 2 Moho's, back to back to back, convoy style.

We are headed up I75. We saw a nice 34 Ltd as we left Lazydays and have seen several more up into mid Georgia.
Tis the season I guess!

Saw BigAl's trailer at Four Mile Creek State Park on the weekend. First time I've seen a painted Airstream in person, and I have to say it has a nice look. We also stayed a night at Letchworth State Park, but saw no Airstreams there, or on the road while travelling.

We were at Disney's Fort Wilderness last week and saw a couple Airstreams peaking through the trees one morning while riding the bus. On our last morning, we took the time to go for a bike ride before packing up. In the loop next to us there was a 3 axle Excella set up, across the street from it was a later model AS with a slide out, and then another 80s looking model in the loop right next to the Settlement Depot. We had ours set up in the 1300 loop, a bonus upgrade from our standard full hookup site that we reserved.

Saw a 16 to 20' Airstream on US-421 near Wilkesboro, headed north toward the Blue Ridge. I was headed south towing my Safari on my way home. I blinked my lights and saw you wave hello.
