These two appeared at almost the same time in a trailer park in Tyler, TX near my home. I risked a "drive-by shooting" to get these--sorry I couldn't get to the door side. Any idea what they are? They look rather small compared to my 29' '72 International. If I could find one like the first image in better shape I would probably buy it.
The top one is a 1966 22' Safari. Several little clues give it away, the style of windows, the location of the water heater (streetside), etc.
The lower one is a 1967 or 1968 24' Tradewind. Again the type of windows and location of the water heater (curbside) give it away.
While watching the "Boob Tube" last evening, I saw what I believe was a NISSAN truck commercial. At the very end of the ad, they show an aerial shot of a long line of trucks on the highway towing trailers. The AIRSTREAM trailer is in the middle of the line. You'll have to look quickly.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that Nissan designed the Basecamp! "As per Don at the Airstream Factory tour" Real fun tour by the way.

Hi Artlink:
Did you take the tour today with Don? I did, and if you did too, then based on the Forum description of your unusual tow vehicle (which I noticed in the SW corner of the Service Center parking lot because it kinda stands apart from the typical tow vehicle) and your 95' Excella, then we met ... without even knowing it!! I'm the old fart in the yellow AIRSTREAM base ball cap and brown T-shirt who owns a '64 Globe Trotter. Nice meeting you in person ... and then again tonight on the I'net. I'll be back in JC most of tomorrow at the WBCCI HQ on the east end of town before I head back to Denver. Drop in if you're in the 'hood.

Hey Fred,
WoW, nice meeting ya, without knowing it. I'll be staying over again today 04/11 and will try to stop by.
Saw this little A/S in a parking lot in Destin several weeks back. Not sure if the inside was gutted, but I didn't get out...looks like one they use down here at the beach as an ice cream "shop"...or something along those lines.
FiveGreers -- That's a good one! Thanks for taking pictures. I think that's what my kids plan on doing to ours when it gets older.
Those two pictures were actually taken with my camera phone! Now I carry my digital with me all the time-as you never know what you'll see in Destin- !
Took a spring break trip to San Diego. Visited Legoland in Carlsbad, and there were little mini cities made entirely out of Legos. Amazing. But the Lego Indy 500 creation had all these little RV's, and not one Airstream!!! So I had to make one!!

We were just visiting Z-Hills (unfortunately non AS travel) and counted 4 Airstreams trailers from new to vintage along 11th Ave. We just wondered if they belonged to any forum members. Our AZ skin enjoyed soakin up the humidity and seeing all flora and fauna.

I have to say that I am VERY frustrated in my 'AirStream Sightings' efforts....
NOT a single sighting lately. By that I mean in the last month or better.
Seen a few in the usual storage lots but that just doesn't get me going....
I DID see I brand new and HIGHLY POLISHED milk trailer on Sunday that was just loads of fun to drive up behind, next to and watch that reflection beam back at me...!!!!!
The kids LOVED IT!!!!!!!! The driver probably thought I was NUTS!!! Behind, right side, then the left, then the rear again.... Poor Guy!
Also HAVEN'T seen ANY 'Air' stickers.... at all.... Sigh.
Thought that might get the chicks and dude's flocking to the TV but so far no dice....
