We've been at the Petaluma KOA for a few days, and had a 19-foot new Bambi a few rows down from us the night before last. Hope they're having a good vacation!

Litchfield Park, AZ this morning on Northern & El Mirage spotted an Airstream WBCCI numbers started with 55 being towed by a newer cream colored SUV. Gave 'em a big wave!

International on Interstate

Looked like a 23' International going North on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad, CA about noon today. (10-20-09)

I think the license said: S (heart symbol) W4EVR

Good looking rig!

Saw two trailers going opposite ways on I-40 today east of the Arizona border. Here we are at the Cal/Az border.

" Watching HDNET this afternoon, low and behold look what popped up, from England no less...." OH Man, is the little car in front a Mopetta, and the blue one in back a Peel Trident?

I see an Airstream on route 1 every week or so, and wave like an idiot when they go by.

Hey Julianne. That is the corner where we store our Airstream. I just checked and the trailer is still in front of the house. We are trying to decide if we are going camping this weekend...

Interstate 8 Vintage Airsteam

I passed this single axel shinny beauty on Interstate 8 Eastbound about 25 miles East of San Diego about 6:45 AM. I think the TV was either a Pathfinder or a Honda Pilot.

Airstreams at Padre Island Nat'l Seashore

We spotted a 17/19-footer towed by a white Tacoma from Oregon here at Padre this past weekend (Nov 6-8). No one home to say 'HI' to.

Then last night, we met Gen Disarray (Rodney) and his mother at the campground sipping margauritas and watching the high surf out in front of his 68 24' Tradewind.

Charleston Area Peanut Vendor Timbo's Peanuts

I spotted this a few weeks back but was not driving Airstream One so waiting until today to stop and shoot some photos. Tim is a veteran peanut man of 20 years in the coastal area of South Carolina. His peanut vendor setup is as of this year a 1970 Airstream trailer rescued from a back lot. As you'll see it has been modified quite a bit to work for him. It is a work in progress like most Airstreams. I suggest that if you're in the Charleston area that you take a trip up Ashley River Rd. and stop by for some boiled peanuts. This is the true south. Tim is a very nice fellow and knows his peanut business. As his new quality control expert I can say his Cajun Peanuts are mighty fine. It took Tim a year of part time off and on work before he could move the AS out of his yard and to his sales site but he's the envy of the peanut vendors in the area.

Airstreams across the Country!

My wife & I have spent the last 5 months on the road, and I finally am getting a chance to catch up on some "sightings" of which we have had quite a few. Wasn't able to catch all of them, but here are a few of the highlights. I am going to do them in separate post so that I can tell a little bit about them, so be patient!

This first one is for sale in Bigfork, MT. Pretty sad shape, interior gutted, and a better part of the rear panel is missing completely. They were asking $1000.00.

Airstreams across the Country!

This one we spotted in Libby, MT. parked behind an old school that was part way through being restored. Story was that the owner who was working on the school had died, and the AS has been sitting there ever since.

Airstreams across the Country!

This was parked by a construction company in Powell, WY and had been used as an office. Looks like they dropped something on it!
