Over Father's Day week end we camped at FDR State Park in Warm Springs, GA. There was tri-axel Limited with all of its burgundy awnings out and burgundy graphic on the side there that had a single width front window...not the wrap around you normally see. There was no one at the site or we would have stopped in for an introduction.

At first I thought it migh have been a front kitchen, but I don't think it dated to the front kitchen era. At mid-ship there were four or five windows with vista views and port holes with each on the road side. I would be interested in knowing more about it.

It might be nice to organize a forum ralley at Ft. Wilderness sometime. I bet their Magical Gatherings could arrange putting all of us in the same loop together.
I felt the same way two months ago when we were at FtW. This would be an ideal place for a gathering, there would be a need to coordinate it through Disney to get a whole loop or two with enough interest. There is plenty to do and see, not quite roughing it but lots of fun in the campgrounds.

Argosy Sighting

Was driving out of my home campground today and spotted a jewel in the rough, a 27 ft Argosy. Stopped and chatted with the woman and her two kids. She got it a year ago for a tremendous bargain from folks who had to get it moved because their pre-fab cottage was due to be delivered. She says everything but the furnace works. The A/C was obviously going.

She and her husband both have physical problems, so she is very seriously thinking of selling and getting a small camper that can be mounted on their pickup truck.

I told her about this site and suggested she log in and list it.

Check your classifieds folks!

WBCCI #9722, visiting the Oregon coast, driving North. We had a brief chat, South of Florence, OR. They were driving up the coast, after having driven down from the International to Medford, OR, and Redwood NP. It's so good to see members! Last year, not one of the Airstreamers I met was a member, and only one was a forum member.

Here's one languishing on the Oregon Coast, southwest of Coos Bay. If you take the Cape Arago Highway, it's on the right as you come down the hill into Charleston. It's right on the waterfront being neglected - someone try and give it a new home.

Would be nice if spotters would put out info on units they see for sale...Put down all you can on it,, may have a buyer on here for it. I saw a very very nice 31 ft 1974. Looks like its had little use for its age. L shaped couch, elect jack rear bath.. North of Jackson , Michigan could be bought for about 6K..Lets keep it going, Ralph...

Putting them together makes sense...or whatever works. I'd like to see those old babies get adopted.

On the road

Must have seen at least 12-13 airstreams throughout the day on Interstate 80. They were headed east. Assume they are coming from International. But didn't alot of read numbers. About 1/2 were 34's. 2 vintage units. The rest newer 22, 25's. They were not traveling in a group.

I would love to give it a new home, but as I am in So. California it is hard to get up to Coos Bay to see if it is available. Here I want an Airstream and people have them wasting away on farms and in an industrial parks. Go figure!

Not an Airstream... but aluminum!

We recently saw this Avalair parked next to Hwy 29 in Calistoga, CA. Saw it there last year with a for sale sign.... Just thought I would post the info. No idea of year. I know nothing about Avalair.

Ya gettin' any royalties out of the advertisement? That's neat that you can pull out the picture and say "I've been here and they thought enough of my trailer to advertise the place.

Airstream at BLM : I remember talking to the Rangers, yet I'm sure they didn't mention they were taking pictures, and I don't recall seeing them take pictures. The picture was taken in May 2005. I'm still in a state of -something-over seeing the photo, and it's happenstance that I know it exists!
