ok...now I'm doubting, never seen the windows on any other AS like these I got in this pic yesterday on the streetside...couldn't get a curbside photo because too much brush was in the way but I could see that there were 3 windows on the curbside all the same about say 15"x30" in a row. Did they do custom windows like this?

Hi, Sharon,

Whatever it is, the door is in the BACK. Look at the way the air conditioner is pointing.

We went to Jackson Center on Friday to do the Tour(AWESOME!!!) and were making our way thru Dayton Ohio on Northbound I-75 and saw a new or close to new Airstream being towed with a newer Gray pickup that had rearended someone or something hit it, an sickening sight, front end damage to the T/V , it turned our stomach,we were quiet for 10 miles or so,it had a 6 mile traffic jam, a very sobering sight, not pretty.

Here is an older AS I spotted at a salvage yard on a service road North of Waco,TX. It appeared that it was being used for parts storage or maybe an on premises residence for an employee. In any case, it appeared that it had seen better days. The SOB next to it had a lifeline hooked up, and it appeared there may be a hose on the AS. The AC setting on top looks newer than vintage.

Great white north!

Followed one for miles Friday afternoon! 1976 Soverign, 31' "the French Quarter". Actually have to confess, we were in our 20' Argosy MH going to the same WInter Rent and Rig Rally the White Mountain group sponsored.

Two units in Winslow

In Winslow, east end of town. Funny to go 200 miles and not see anything, then two, right along the highway. On is Land Yacht 1287-J219 and the other I couldn't get past the fence.

On my marathon drive from Sumter SC to Cape Coaral FL this weekend....stil in progress.... I've seen numerous Airstreams.
Noted WBCCI 1966 Saturday in Ocala... nice vintage rig from the rapid glance I got.
Also saw 2002 Sat. up in Starke where I saw a Safari today.
I've seen a couple of Land Yacht motorhomes put on classics yet. This is a post in progress as I'm only in Baldwin so far and have just a few more miles to go.
Now if the train would just get going a bit faster so I could bet over the tracks....

Bob, do I laugh or cry? There I was again this morning, dialing in, but getting only the "too early" message or the busy signal AKA "You Lost Out Again" with a loud RAZZZberry in the background! So, zen. . .persistence. . .images of gentle aquamarine waves lapping at my camp site. . .I'm eagerly awaiting the Florida Secret Camping Society Secret Handshake lesson for tomorrow. I KNOW that will make all the difference! Thanks for the tips. They sound right on! Wish us luck. ~G

Made my day-

Yesterday morning while schlepping along 101 in Manchester, NH, on my way to Dartmouth, to see my neurologist (a long drive to get what I was antisipating not good news) Up should pop up just ahead of me, coming onto the hi-way from Exit 1 was a beautiful new (ish) 19 foot Bambi, Pulled by a green Toyota pick-up with bikes in the bed. Someone was headed for some fun! Put a smile on my face for the rest of the 100 mile trip! Whoever you are, I hope you had a great trip and thank you for making my day!

Heading east out of the DFW Metroplex this afternoon, towing our 30' Classic, we saw a vintage 25footer +/- heading westbound. Somewhere around milepost 50 we saw an Excella in an RV sale lot and then further on down the road at mile post 107 we saw an Argosy in another RV sale lot. Hopefully, before our journey is over, we'll see lots more of you out there moving along the highways or in camp.

Two today, both displaying WBCCI number. Number 5640 was going west on US 278 near Madison, GA. Number 2839 was spotted rolling in Watkinsville, GA (by my sister, but she knows to look for them too).
