On our recent travels:
Avion truck camper in the old faithful parking lot two days ago.
1970's era beauty on the road from Cody to Laurel (they waved).
19' bambi in the yellowstone geyser basin parking lot with a brown toyota tundra 5.7 litre truck attached. (pretty)
31' international from alaska with evidence of rear frame separation towed with a sierra 1500 with sprung springs, owned by a toothless codger, in Wellington, Colorado

How about these? The first is somewhere near Seldovia, AK and the other is along the Sterling Highway, AK.

The Seldovia one had to be brought there by boat. I think I've seen picture of this or another bee somewhere on the forums.

That would definitely be a Spartan Manor, made by the Spartan Aircraft Company after WWII.

The Long Long Trailer one is a "New Moon" and doesn't have the same clean look to the front that the Spartans did. It looks like these:

Spotted two in Yellowstone

Everyone else was counting moose, elk, bison, bear and coyote, I spotted two Airstreams in Yellowstone early Thursday afternoon. Both were heading south five or six miles from the south exit. The first was an early 70's about 24 or 26 footer. Nicely polished. The second about a mile or two behind was a little longer, probably a 28 foot "blue stripe". Of course, I missed the tow vehicles.

1995 Classic

went to pick up some wheel cleaner - and we spotted a really nice Classic AS Motorhome parked at the edge of the Walmart lot. So I and DH headed over to say "hi" and met the nicest folks!! Hello to you Tom & Judee and family.

DW and I spotted a small, newer AS (Bambi maybe?) traveling south on Rt.288 just outside of Richmond around 1:30PM Sunday afternoon. We also watched the Discovery Channel show on the last Shuttle flight and spotted the AS Motorhome they use to haul the Astronauts to and from the landing. I wonder if those will be on eBay soon...

Anybody have an idea what model this is? could it be a land yacht? What really puzzles me is how in the world did they pull it so close to the house. I guess they didn't plan on traveling with it anytime soon. Any ideas how to back it up.

I don't know the model for that (although I would guess a late 70's early 80's 31' rear bath). On the park job, we have seen the same with other campers at permanent spots next to the coast. If there is enough room to get a small lawn mower/tractor around in front to hook up at a 90 degree angle, they can tow it enough to get it out. They could also have one of the single wheel dollies at the ball to back it out if there is not enough room for a mower.

There were some 5th wheels parked hitch end toward the river with only a few feet to the water which I kept wondering about. Then I saw the campground had a small tractor with a lifted 5th wheel hitch mounted to the back that they pulled in from the side and swung the campers at a 90 degree...

From the serial number it is a 1977 27' Overlander rear bath with twin beds. A small forklift would do the trick as well.

We were at Cedar Point's campground July 10-13. On the 12th, we noticed another Airstream trailer in a cul-de-sac near the pool. Anyone here? We went over to say hi but the owners were just getting in the truck to go somewhere.

The same day, we also saw a giant classic motorhome (345 I would guess), in a site near the waterpark... Any volunteers?

Strangely enough, those are the only two other Airstreams we saw that entire trip. How disappointing!

We spotted this Airstream in a Hotel parking lot in Ann Arbor, MI on Friday. Interesting graphics. No stone guards or LP tanks.
