Spotted these two in my living room this morning! Actually they are on the live webcam for Port San Luis, in Avila Beach, CA.

Saw this on You Tube (pardon the graniness) - a AS parked at the Mojave Desert airplane boneyard. I thought this was symbolic of the longevity of AS and airplanes;
if you look after both, they will last a long time.
BTW, the "jaws" are about to dig into one of Trump's Boeing727 shuttles which had a long and varied career after coming off the assembly line in 1969.

Great shot; history in the making!
Here's a bit clearer version of that photo. You can click on it for a bit larger version.

Sure. It's painful for me to watch some of these birds being scrapped - great airliners like the Boeing-727 and L-1011, since my other hobby is resurrecting them.
Airstream is at 3:53.

It does hurt to watch this. My first commercial flight was on a DC3. I later worked for American Airlines with 707s, DC8s etc, then Continental Airlines with the DC9, 727, and last the 747. That was back in the 60's and 70's and so much has changed now. I guess that has to do with my love for Airstreams.

Spotted a '60s vintage AS behind a brown two-tone Ford pickup yesterday on I-20 West near Aiken, SC. I was on my way home from Florida with the '69 in tow. Waved, but got no response.

We saw ONE HUNDRED Airstreams of all models and vintages this weekend in Cleveland Ohio's Burke Lakefront Airport's main parking lot attending the WBCCI national rally there!!! A great time was had by all and HUGE congratulations and thanks go out to the organizers - urban camping is FUN and it's good that it is happening again!!! See you there next year but make your reservations early because I'll bet it fills up quickly!

Modified Airstream in Milano
This Airstream went to Fashion Camp. I was in Milano last week visiting friends, and told them about my recent acquisition of the Argosy. The next day one of them called me and said he was shooting photos at a meeting called Fashion Camp and came across an Airstream modified as a display space for one of the exhibitors. Check out the Euro hitch and frame jack. I don't even want to think about pulling it on Milano streets!

Saw the GastroPod at the Bonnaroo music festival last weekend, so I had to eat there. They did a beef short rib slider that was not only the best food there, but some of the best food I've ever had! Sounds like they're based out of miami.

The company is "Pimp Your Event" and from their website it would appear that they can deliver the Ambassador to your event with a red Dodge dually as well. The idea of driving a LWB dually pickup pulling 30 feet of trailer in Italy is... unappealing.

Wow. I started this thread about 5 years ago and it's taken on a life of it's own! Just think if I charged a dollar a post I could hire someone to help us put on a new belly pan.
