Coincidences!!
Another CO AS was also in Iowa this week.
A couple in a 28' to 30' AS with a slide-out traveling through just happened to stop at our rally site. We talked with them at dinner that night - lots of and talk of fly fishing!
It was nice to meet!!

Seen last summer (Sep 2010) at the Munich Airport....the only Airstream we saw during our 3 weeks of touring around Bavaria (southern Germany).

Airstreams on Broadway!!

Off Broadway, actually... I went to opening night last night of the hilarious new musical comedy Lucky Guy:

There's a scene at the Grand Ole Opry. The villain, Big Al, who sells used cars of the stars, is doing his show there, the Cavalcade of Cars. The set design prominently incorporates a mirror image of a newer model 19' Airstream!! At least I think it was a 19, but unmistakably Airstream!!!

This show really does have something for everybody: big hair, low down schemers, in-love dreamers, tap-dancing Buckaroos, and AIRSTREAM TRAILERS!!!

I had posted a link to this video on another thread, because my newest brother in law is the guy in the middle talking about his Airstream and company.

But I hadn't posted this one:

His old shiny one makes our new un-shiny one look kinda.....well......drab.

We are in the midst of aluminum...our trip to Charleston....well...tonight we are north of Pensacola at the WBCCI Airstream Campground. Hum...we never made it to Charleston...

We didn't crash the Rally they are having this weekend although all of the folks here were super accommodating.

A couple of dozen 'streams here...varying from a newer 34' with slide to an early '60's or two.

Flipping IPad won't allow me to post photos!

Spotted yesterday a 34ft triple axle being pulled by a Buick crossover. Half car, half SUV. It was westbound on Grey County Road #4 from Hanover Ontario on the way towards Durham Ontario. This is the first one I've seen on the road in a long time.
I'd bet that the TV & hitch set up was done by Can-Am RV from London Ontario. Andy is famous for his unique TV setups.

Maiden Voyage

Couldn't resist posting a picture of our 'new' rig. We got the car 2 weeks prior to the TCT Gathering in Milford MI last weekend. After a few trips to the auto repair to get ready to tow, we made it to the rally. We had a great time and loved all the vintage trailers and tow vehicles. We're looking forward to more trips with our 'new' car.

Shiny in Hollywood

I was just blinded by a whole bunch of shiny on the 101 freeway, heading north thru downtown LA and into Hollywood. The last picture is a reflection of my 4Runner in that nice mirror finish. It's amazing how happy it makes me to see something like this zipping down the freeway!

We saw that outfit in Ajo, AZ. What a head-turner! Yes, Andy did the set-up.

We passed a MoHo with 7 WBCCI stars on it (I think it was number 137), Northbound on I65 in Indiana about 75 miles north of Louisville.

We spotted two here in Columbus OH yesterday. Of course, we almost have an unfair advantage, as we are so close to Jackson City and Alumapalooza!!!!
