Ok...so I haven't been here in awhile cause I'm trying to get over this airstream thing that's got me and then vavooom....this pic shows up in my e-mail last night from my little nephew. I HAD to snag his digital camera to take a pic of this...here's how it goes...x-mas eve our family goes up to Brighton MA for our big x-mas gathering, well we always have our annual football game at the park down the street...everyone is picking teams and guess what catches my eye...yup...you got it...staring me right in the face on the other side of the chain link fence was this beauty. Whoever owns it has what looked like an airplane hanger to store it in...thought I'd share it with you all. Maybe it's one of you guys out there

Not exactly an Airstream, but I had to look twice to make sure.

believe it or not...

...this is an airstream, on Highway 50 coming back to the Bay Area from South Tahoe. It's the one behind the black car and in front of the 18 wheeler.

I saw this 63 Bambi this weekend at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ. It was in the ranger residence area and I did not want to intrude into that area. I found out that it belongs to the park manager, a very nice guy. I was at an outing with my fly fishing club and had a great time. This is also the location for a Tin Can Tourist Rally in two weeks. http://www.airforums.com/forum...2-24&e=131&c=1
BTW, the nights get a bit nippy. The dogs water dish was ice in the morning and one SOB trailer had a water line open one night.

Well, I saw it - I bought it. I need some type of mental health professional. Here is a 1958, 26ft Globetrotter International that needed to come to my house. Hope Bob and I are not in way over our heads on this one.

Hi Juel:

Congratulations! I think you made a wonderful purchase of a very neat trailer. It is a 1958 26' tandem axle Overlander with the top of the line, self-contained "International" trim package, as indicated by the beautiful International globes on the exterior. The trailer looks in quite fine condition for its age, with -- of course -- the signs of a harder life concealed or hidden, sorta like an exeprienced woman of the world with her makeup on. She'll need some refreshening and, depending on your ultimate use, perhaps some different appliances. The water heater looks to be electric, fine for campgrounds and parks but less than ideal for bookdocking, where a gas one would be more useful. But overall the trailer appears in fine shape on the surface for a great buy. You did very well, and I hope she brings you and your husband new skills, new challenges , new found joy and, of course, more "togetherness" through your joint refreshening of her. Great purchase; it only gets deeper from here on out. Enjoy the journeys.

50's trailers are the height of cool. I don't think you'll regret this purchase.

Guess I don't know just what this trailer is yet. Haven't gotten it home to check out much. The metal plate on the side says 26.......2180 Made in I think Norwalk, California. All it says is International on the name plate, but it has the globes on the front and the back. I'm sure someone on here knows a lot more about these old 50's trailers than I do. The seller says it's a 58, but I'll wait till I see the Title.

early Airstream 5th wheel

I came across this homemade 5th wheel Airstream quite a few years ago. This is my first attempt posting with an attachment so I don't know if it will work.If it does,I apologize for the poor picture quality as it was taken 20 years ago.
