Kennesaw GA. Best western parking lot just east of I 75. looked to be about a 70 29ft or 31ft. Has "Illinois" on the side in large letters. I know for a fact there has been a picture of this coach here and possibly the owners are forums members.

hi- did not see one travel trailer of any kind on the island-! then again, there's only about 100 miles of road. A neighbor just told me that they saw a caravan of AS's somewhere in canada, headed to alaska, and that there was a pick-up bed model among them. Did Airstream ever make such a model, or did someone customize/chop a trailer? aloha- tim

To my knowledge, Airstream never made a slide-in pickup camper, but Avion did. I have occasionally seen one of those Avion units. I think there was one on eBay or one of the classified web sites recently.
I do beleive, however, that someone once posted a photo of what appeared to be an Airstream slide in camper, but it has "home made" like some of earliest Airstream Motorhomes.
I spotted this one near Tyler, TX on Hwy 64E off the Lake Tyler spur at the "Shady Oaks" trailer park. I'd driven past it on the way to work for over a year, didn't see it until the leaves fell off the trees! Looks like a "permanent park" to me. Can anyone identify the year or model?

I recently took a trip to Spain and found myself watching the passing scenery and buildings, parking lots, etc. for Airstreams. Didn't see any, but I couldn't stop looking!

I hope you don't mind that I copied the photo here:
From this one photo its' tough to be totally certain what the trailer is. From the window arrangement I think it is a rare 1970's rear bedroom 27' Overlander. These were first made in about 1972. It might be as late as about a 1976 model, because it seems the battery boxes moved to the front over the tongue in about 1977 or so and this trailer does not have a battery box there. I can't be more certain, but but for some reason my gut suggests it is more likely in the 1972-1974 range, but that's really just a guess.

How did you get the photo to appear? I haven't figured out how to do that! I have some other sightings I'd love to post!
I didn't want to risk another photo--this was a "drive-by shooting".
We just returned from a 8 day Florida vacation, saw a lot of Airstream snow birds headed south, made a run down the ravaged highway 1 to the Keys,Wilma really damaged the area,Saw a lot of Airstreams but I was suprised by the number of Argosys in the long term Campgrounds,I was looking more in the CGs than at the area scenery !!! It gets to be a habit!!!!

I just returned from the Bolivar Peninsula west of Galveston, TX where I plan to park my '72 Ambassador. I saw this one only 100 yards from where my property is!
We just returned from a trip to the Virginia highlands and spotted four rolling down the great American highways. Smallest was a Bambi and the largest a 34ft Excella. This was probably the smallest number we've ever spotted on this trip.
