Airstream (Script) Logo Flag

Good morning!
I have a strange request & not sure what kind of response I might get.
I was at an Airstream dealership a couple of weeks ago & saw this awesome flag that I would love to try & find or have made.
It seems the flag was a 1985 flag that had the script Airstream logo on it.

is anyone familiar with this flag or is it possible that I can have a flag made to reflect this logo, that would go great with the script logo of my 1986 Airstream Sovereign

Please advise or suggest
Thank you
Carole

There are plenty of companies that make flags, not sure what the cost would be. You'll have to contact Airstream about using their logo, however, that's their trademark, that will be your biggest difficulty. I'd ask for a letter authorizing you to use it on a flag. On a guess, they'll probably refuse.

I tried getting permission from Nintendo to link to some of their web images a number of years ago and they flatly refused. Company's legal departments are very restrictive of logo usage for fear of losing their registered trademarks. I work with the Scouts and years ago I had to get a letter from the Scouting organization before the local Kroger grocery would make a cake with Scouting symbols on it. (Now their site says usage is OK as long as it's for a Scouting purpose.)

There is a freeware font called "Airstream" that could be used for your flag.
Airstream Font

What is the Sovereign logo?

I'm retired, but I used to own an advertising agency.

Wait a bit (day or so), and I'll try to help you.

murraywalker may be able to help but a second option is to call Airstream Marketing for the actual logo and tell them you will be using it ONCE for non-commercial purposes. They will most likely require you to sign a release form stating adherence to that condition if approved.

No, I don't know of Richard.

A close match to the font used by AS is called Padua Italic. The type used by AS (I doubt they used digital fonts on this logo) has been customized to an extent. The "A" with the flourish is probably not a font.

In any event if you use Padua Italic (which you can find a free download on line), you won't have to get permission from Jackson Center.

Here is a PDF of of the actual typeface.

Airstream (script) logo

Thank you for your help.
I have actually been emailing customer service at Airstream & the person is telling me that I do not need permission to have a flag made with the script I am looking for.
I attached what I found online.

There are many nuances between the actual AS logo and the font I suggested.

If you have the expertise (or have a friend who does), you can start with the font and achieve the serif and stroke connections to the various characters which you see in the actual logo.

If just depends on how faithful you want to be to the actual logo.

OR, perhaps Airstream will send you a copy of the actual logo if they still have it on file.

.ai is an Adobe specific vector file and only any use in Adobe Illustrator, but can easily be converted (there are online converters to .pdf)....
