Airstream Rental Suggestions

I'm looking for Airstream Rental Options. My wife and I want to try one out this summer. I was happy to see the new Airstream program KOA has started. Unfortunately, none of the KOAs with new rental units are anywhere near us.

We are in Michigan. I was wondering if anybody in the region has suggestions for Airstream rentals?

John, a member here, has started his own vintage Airstream rental business (Airstream Rentals at Airstreams4rent in Phoenix, AZ)here in the Phoenix area. Unfortunately not very close to you. He's just getting going on this venture and I hope he does well.

That does seem like a clever idea! Some smart choices in trailers to rent too - all moderate in length and weight. I would add something like a few-year-old Suburban to the fleet, so that a vacationer could fly in and rent the entire package, tow vehicle and all. Even those of us with Airstreams might not want to take the time to tow ours to Arizona...

We'll have an article on this very subject in the Spring 2010 issue of Airstream Life magazine, with photos of a bunch of places. Unfortunately, none of them are near Michigan. They tend to be located in places with warm weather.

I am searching for insurancre to add TV's to our rental fleet. Since "cash for clunkers" squashed mostly TV's, the demand can only go up I think. We do get folks driving their TV to Phoenix to pick up an AS and head to the Grand Canyon. But they are mostly from CA.

Anybody know of any AS rental options in the West Virginia and Pennsylvania region? Planning two trips this year and I'm hoping to find a rental. I have a TV.

Scotty,

I have only seen rentals on the west coast. There are a few others out there, but they are permanent trailers and not ready for the road. It's a bit older post, but you may find some useful information in this thread:

Good Luck!
