Airstream on the brain...

My wife says I have too much Airstream on the brain. When I am not working on it, I'm talking about it.

After I checked the Airstream forums for the 9th time today and checked my Vintage Trailer Calender for the date, then move my copies of Ready to Roll and Silver Palaces from the top of my three issues of Airstream Life that I have read about five times, each, when my Airstream screen saver starts running on my PC, I can't help to wonder if she's on to something

Of course I can't be all bad, I watched Charlie Brown Easter special with my daughter tonight, all though I was checking the forums with my wireless PDA at the same time...

Humm.. maybe she is on to something...

While my husband reads through his Classic Truck magazines, I'm on the forum or on ebay looking at my beloved Argosys/Airstreams. I call him in to the office and he comes in here to patiently look at a new "old" AS I've found that I want. He looks at the "balrgn" guy's website and sees he has two trailers and wonders if he's going to sell one of them. I tell him this guy is looking at another Argosy to buy and he sure can't understand that. He spends a little time telling me about this 53 Ford he's found that he could restore and I look at him in with that same "another what" look he gives me. He did perk up when he saw the restored Chevy on balgrn's website. Who will win out on this materialistic quest for goodies?

My life too!

This is the story of me too! Aluminitus is something I have been diagnosed with. I am sure it is contageous (sp) because I got the wife her 65 Caravel too. Trying to get her infected....but it's harder on the female human side I think...but it does affect both male and female. I am found often checking this site via my TREO going down the road. The wife's symptoms are not as bad as mine. Just yesterday, she said if she has to hear about Vintage Thunder and AS Life...she thinks I'm losing it. Is Airstream hiring? Wait until she starts getting into taking her and her girlfriend on short outings in it this summer...she'll catch the full bug.

At one point I had five of these trailer. There is one about 1 mile from my house, been sitting about 10 years, that I can not stop thinking about....it just sits there, poor thing. Around a 72-73 year...and it has that oven in the wall, that I just don't care for. But the skin is very nice. And it needs some cleaning, center twins, International .....probably can get her for $1500...

Rob
