Airstream Graveyard

Just wondering if there are Airstream graveyards?(Or junk yards that carry Airstreams and sell for parts.)Where are these place located at?What state.Funny thing is that everyone comes down to Florida so you would think there is something nearby but not in my area of the woods.I can not seem to find any so I am asking you all.I am just curious because there may be things that are good that I can upgrade my Airstream with or modify with an older touch to look new. Thanks All.

There is also Cherokee RV parts near Denver, CO. There is also a yard in NC but the guy doesn't like to sell parts for some reason. The yard is near Liberty, NC. He buys up wrecked RV's and either fixes them for resale, or tries to sell them to someone else to fix up. At one time he had over 60 Airstreams mostly from the 70's. The few times I tried to buy parts he was a PITA about the whole deal, and wanted full retail for salvage parts it just wasn't worth it anymore.

Bob has a variey of units, most are SOB's with a few Airstream products. Last time I was there, his Airstream inventory went from a 1965 Overlander to a 2005 Bambi.

Smile Colaw's Did A Good Job For Me

Devoman, If the place in FLA has the parts you need that's great, particularly if they are nearby. But don't hesitate to contact Colaw (www.colawrvsalvage.com). I called them, they had what I wanted, they sent a few pictures via email, gave me a very good description of condition, packed the part well (a credenza) and sent it to me in a hurry for a reasonable price. I was very pleased!

Sounds Good

I am wanting to upgrade some things so if they are in very good condition(Basically brand new still.)I will want to get some things to do so at a better price.
I am trying to figure out if I would be able to put the panaramic rock guard across the front of the Airstream?I have the small window in the front but I now have a couple dings where rocks or something have hit the skin up very high so I figured mabey this would work to solve the problem.Would it be able to be done without the other window and just the guards itself?

Colaw RV Parts

Hey Devoman,

I, too, have purchased parts from Colaw's. They are friendly, reasonable, and ship quickly. I would definitely use them again.

Good Luck,

-Mark
