A 14,000# Equalizer hitch for a 25' Airstream is an irresponsible recommendation, maybe from the same guy at Equalizer who told me to get a 12,000# hitch for my 5,000# fully loaded Airstream 20, so I would have plenty of capacity.

I do not repair Airstreams damaged by excessive hitches, and am not a hitch expert, but there are some on this forum who do. Perhaps they will see this and offer some advice.

That's the one! Louis (LHall) stores their vintage rig there, and I think Silverback has an AS trailer and their vintage Moho there...and a couple of others I can't remember at the moment. Louis said it is more than where they used to be, but is so very convenient and much closer to them, so it's worth it.

Hi Doug,

I really appreciate all the advice I get on this forum. The vendors are usually just trying to make a sale but all the experience in this group is much more valuable than vendor recommendations!

By the way, does anyone know what the going discount percentage off of MSRP for a new Airstream? It seems like a rough economic situation is brewing for travel trailer manufacturers as the Diesel/Gas price keeps creeping forward and projecting $5+/gallon in the near future.

Thanks!!!

Given the choice, we would have ordered the same options. On a hot weekend at Pinnacles National Monument, we appreciated the full awnings. We make a lot of use of the oven - roasting potatoes, toasting bread, etc, and like the fact that the oven does not need 120 VAC to run.

Pretty sure the outdoor shower is standard on all models. It's come in handy at the beach, hosing off sandy feet and surf-soaked Golden Retriever!
Did you order either the factory installed solar panels or inverter on your 27FB Flying Cloud?

We have the 25FB Flying Cloud. It works great for us but it is just my husband and me.

Good luck with your purchase.
