I was told by a reputable AS dealer that they were in fact filliform seedpods and that a brisk sweeping with a straw broom would take care of the problem...

Hi, now you tell me!!!!! I was using one of those cheap Chinese plastic brooms. [straw broom, do they still make those?]

It has to be straw, otherwise the clearcoat on the plastic brooms causes a reaction and the seed pods hatch all over the carpet. Little filliforms everywhere, then you have a problem....

How about sewer pipe gaskets. They used to last 5 years, now they last 2-3 years according to one of our forum peeps. Only he's contradicting himself.....no one else is arguing.

I used to say 5 years, and was corrected by several owners who said 2 to 3 years.
