Tires are the most fun. Followed closely by weight police threads in re CAN AM.

Cool You forgot a big one (or two)

Come on man! No Hensley hitches! You did mention tires but I need specifics: Goodyear Marathon vs. Maxxis.

I don't think my AC power is working. I don't get shocked when I stick my tongue in the wall socket. What do I do next?

re: "Oftentimes, it simply comes down to personal opinion, but still, the debates can get quite heated, and sometimes humorous"

I don't think tragedies are humorous.

Rather than list a set of topics, although that might be a start in research, the real question (for me) is why these certain topics often result in a panoply of logical fallacies and examples of psychological denial and related phenomena. What is it about certain topics that cause some folks to loose any vestige of civility and intellectual integrity in this form of communications?

And don't forget organizational and learning from history issues on your list - the trashing of Robert's Rules of Order is a prime example.

I asked this old lady the same question not too awful long ago.
She told me "There is no reason. People are all about what they like and what they want. There is no reason to it."

Sounds like your tongue may be covered with an insulating film. They get that way when they get old. Sand your tongue with some sandpaper and see if that solves the problem. . .

Ramblin:

I had to laugh reading yours. I taught high school kids for 15 years in Georgia. Ford, Chevy and the Dodge debate was everyday and never ending. I used to be a big ford fan, but they did not want to deal on a new truck. Hayes chrysler gave a fantastic deal and great service. I am now a Chrysler fan.
