Question Airforums Amateur Radio Club/Group?

I know there a quite few hams on the forums. Is there any interest in a ham club/group here? I think it could be a place where we could discuss Airstreams and ham radio in general without making the rest of the members have to wade through the posts.
If there is enough interest, I would be willing to figure out how to set it up, unless someone else would like to do it, which is even cooler.
What do you think?

Hi Mike,
Well, the first thing I was going to do was set up a group/club here on the forum (two items over from user CP on the header) , and then if we wanted to we could set up some on the air nets or whatever. however I am off the air until the spring thaw. I have some antenna damage to repair. Did I make it any clearer?
73,
Ken

In an incredible breech of etiquette , I am going to bump this just once. Perhaps the small response was due to poor timing.

This idea is not an extension of my ego. So if you think it it is a stupid idea , feel free to say so, or you can vote "stupid idea" by not responding .

Regards,
Ken

Since there is some interest, I will figure out how to do it and post back here when I have it done.

I'm in. For those who are not hams but are interested in becoming one we hams can point you in the right direction.

I would "check in" from time to time. I am hardly ever on the air anymore. 100 watts with a half size G5RV, folded, no big gun for sure.

My wife and I who are relatively new to AS and own a vintage Argosy are very interested in getting involved with HAM again (its been about 35 yrs since we tried to learn code, sigh). Is there going to be a HAM club get together @ the International Rally? jjairstream

I am interested too. I normally do not carry Ham gear with me on the road, but maybe I will see what I can put together this summer in Alaska.
