Angry Ads in posts

OK, here's my peave for the week.....during the last couple weeks there have been ads in the middle of individual posts.....it's bad enough that we have to contend with ads every 10 minutes on TV, and on every web page we look at, but why are we allowing in on Air Forums.

If the companies who are buying these, and the people who are the ad reps for whoever is selling them think that I'm going to buy their products, I'll tell you right now, it ain't gonna happen.

I understand that it's a way to pay for the web site, but, if it continues, Air Forums will be part of my past life. I've been a member for a long time, and if I leave it probably won't make a damned bit of difference to anyone, but I'm simply tired of this constant barrage of commercial crap...

For whatever it's worth from this old geezer.....

I've never seen an advertisement in a post. Do you have a link to a post that you are talking about?

If you are a supporting member, the ads are less intrusive.
Down load Adbloc Plus software, free version.
The end!

That reminds me, I need to contribute again!
(we all should, since this forum is so helpful l!!!!)

Yes, here is one, there were two ads on the first thing I opened in AF this morning.

This forum as tame compared to some I belong to, as far as ads. I have been forced to install multiple ad blockers, and configure them to block 100% of ads, or else those I get overwhelmed by ads there. The side "benefit" of that is, I see zero ads here, though I wouldn't mind the occasional unobtrusive one. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium, though.

Even with Adbloc activated I see a few ads along the right side of the portal or forum pages when I open them. They are not bad/intrusive.

But those annoying ads that appeared within threads between posts, and 100% of pop ads, are no longer there.
