Accessoreyes Wide Open
I've noticed in the Airstream community, in the short time that I've been a member of it, that much pride is taken in the "Bits and Pieces" that we add to make our toaster just a little more ours.
I thought it would be pretty neat to have a thread where we can show off those wares. Interesting furniture, unique decorating, befitting bric-a-brac, etc. If you've got it and no one else does...cough it up and let's see it!
My entry to start this thread is my Indoor/Outdoor two-person gludius maximus resting device. These were originally owned by a church about 30 years ago and there were about 200 of them. A local auctioneer purchased them and used them for about 20 years. From extensive use their numbers were reduced to about 20 or so. My grandfather bought them from the auctioneer and they sat in his barn for another 5 years or so when he told my parents they could have them. They weeded through them and found only one solitary good one of the bunch. They burned the bad ones and stuck the good one in THEIR barn and there it sat until about 4 months ago when I started seeing all these Airstreamers with their cafe style patio furniture and had to have something similar.
These do fold very flat for convenient storage. My plan is to get a couple matching folding end tables to put on the outsides when in patio mode.
Here it is and let's have some fun with this during what I'm sure is about to be a long cold winter.

Okay, I'll play:
I was in our local department superstore, when I found this clock that seemed to tell me it wanted to live in our coach. It tells time, temperature, and humidity. The best thing is...it is silver...

How's this?
Finding these on ebay was the start of the whole 'aqua-thing' for us. That and the fact that it paid homage to the original upholstries ~

I'll bite...
Got the toaster, the cool vintage fan - torquois to match our original counters, the silver and aluminum trinkets like, a renno piggy, and table compass.
But the Sun, Stars and Moon are the real cool things for us - that makes MoonBeam what she is - right down to the face cloth.
Our coolest find was at the nastalgia store at the Fishermans Warf in Punta Gorda - it was just so North American - Drive Inns were the best. To celebrate our find we set up the lap top invited a few friends over and watched the Long Long Trailer in the new open air "theatre"

Cute kid, Toaster!
I have some awesome funky-cool pillows made by Cheryl (Mrs JordanDVM), and some genuine vintage burlap plastic cups I got off eBay. The cups are just like the ones my Grandma had in her trailer when I was a kid

Nice lamp! We have the same one, $5 @ Target.
Walmart has $5 neon Flamingo lamps too, you know we have one of those as well!

Hmmm this appears to be one of those things
that go "bump" in the night.
Okay, this is my absolute favorite thing in the Airstream. It's a picture of a vintage unit lit by the setting sun, taken at the 2004 International Rally in Lansing Michigan by David Winick. David is a talented photographer, metal worker and designer and a really nice guy. He owns Vintage Trailering and does restoration work that is out of this world. Currently he is designing a prototype for a limited edition 75th anniversary commemorative Airstream. You have probably seen another of his photographs on the cover of Airstream Life. Here's a link to learn all about David Winick and his works. http://www.vintagetrailering.com/about.html

That is the nicest leather sofa I have ever seen. You and you spouse must have superior taste in decorating, and how did you ever think to put a leather sofa in your Tradewind?
