My my ....my dear Ron, you are just too kind and generous with your assessments of my abilities.
I will though, assure you that if I had the powers you assign, that your tears would dry, your broken heart would ache no more and your whining would subside. In fact I can imagine that you would not have a worry in this old world.
But woe to me. Tis not to be in my power. Sorry but I guess you'll have to make do like the rest of us adults. Yes you have greatly over-estimated me. Hopefully this will preclude any future under-estimation.
I don't know what miffed Andy, but I have reviewed all of hex's recent posts and I can't find anything that should have sent Andy into orbit. There's no rule that we all agree, just that we all be civil.
Pissin' contests just get everyone wet.

Peter and I will have to differ on that one. I read that post as an attempt as humor. Maybe it didn't come off well, but I don't think it should make anyone go away and sulk.

i don't agree, the personal jab at andy selling products for what he thinks is a fair price was uncalled for.
andy should be able to get what ever the market will bear without being made fun of. after all, there is a finite supply of those parts.
the benefit we all get from andy participating is his experiance.... that part is free!
hex has asked many good questions (i read his posts too) but, taking stabs at other members for fun or wit is not fair to others who some day may need andy's resources.
Pahaska,
Maybe it had something to do with this:
By HEX:

I find Inland-Andy's unyeilding and "take my word for it or screw yourself"attitude on this subject very very unfortunate. He should welcome our questions (no matter how inane) and accept that the forums are as much for our self improvement and free discussions as for his self promotion and free advertising.
yet as of now, he has Never answered one of my questions.
or maybe it was:
Quote:
You have thrown down the gauntlet Inland-Andy. It is always combative or argumentative when it's incoming ..eh Andy!? And please don't imply that I have called you or your business on your sacred 800 line. I have never called you on any line, period! You seem to bring up your 800 line in many posts. If it is too heavy an expense drop it!
But spare us your management problems.
This is what I Call Baditude I don't think we need it here anymore
I would agree that Hex has asked many good questions ....
but so do four year olds .... It gets annoying rather quickly ..
especially when its not your child.
We have an abundance of good questions amongst the 1200+
of us ... what is in short supply are sources for GOOD answers,
RV Andy has continuously provided such.
RV Andy can be a little persistent side with his recommendations
BUT he has earned that right by being in the "trenches" for so many years in this industry.
I don't understand the lack of action by the moderators besides
actively editing Hex"s profanity so not to be in violation of forum policy.
The price that we all are paying for HEX's freedom of speech is that no longer will Andy openly post.
A very potentially costly price for us all to pay.
Hex,
I won't argue with you, because I am busy cleaning the toilet of my Safari, and it is much more interesting. Someone sugested you get yourself an AS . It will keep you busy and make you happy Andy exists (existed?) In other words, get a life!
Ron
PS: It would be nice if you apologized to Andy, and this is the perfect period to do it
If the posts were offensive to start, now they have been republished and, in some cases, migrated to new threads for all the world to see. Everyone who has ever posted to this thread now sees the offensive posting all over again and even gets an email notice to go look at it.
If you think a post is uncalled for, please do not quote it. PM the moderator(s). We may not always agree, but it will at least not be republished with a notice to the world.
If you do not think the moderator has handled it properly, PM the forum owner. He is the last word. So long as a post does not violate forum guidelines, I have no right to censor it.

I feel like I just got my hand slapped publicly "for the whole world to see".
Maybe if the moderators did this more aggressively with the real
offenders, we would have less of them.
Once something is posted in a forum, It is public domain.
Reposting, migrating to new threads, and revisiting can and will happen, It is the intent of a forum.
This is why we all must watch how we interact with our fellow
forum members. If you don't want to play here nicely, then one of the playground attendants should ask you to find another playground.
Your post would appear to be asking me to limit my use of what someone else (moderators) have allowed into this public domain.
IMHO, the forum rules have been consistently violated by the offender in question, without recourse.
Up to 4 cents worth now (thats all i'm going to spend on this)
Pahaska said that he reviewed Hex's recent posts and couldn't see anything that would have sent Andy into orbit, then Airstreamcaravel brings two post to light, which Pahaska then turns the table towards Airstreamcaravel.
